I live in Wisconsin so I can safely tell you not all pasties are created equal. Those looked a hell of a lot better than some of the ones at the local grocery stores especially.... U will need a gravy boat of sauce to swallow down the ones here

A real cornish pasty is night and day better. When I first saw pasties I thought I'd get a nice reminder of home. I couldn't be more wrong 🤦

FYI the “pie” is called a “pasty”. In the books, the students eat pumpkin pasties, and they are traditionally savoury - so a pumpkin pasty would probably be savoury. ❤

I made some of these myself since its hard to find savory meat pies in America. Anyway, the English chef whose video I watched for the recipe definitely called them "hand-pies" so is pasty a regional thing in the UK or are they interchangeable terms?

It felt weird watching someone eating cream like that because I’m used to it being spread upon a scone with some jam, not eaten like a dessert. Also the hand pie is called a pasty, never even heard of a hand pie. Sorry if I seem grumpy, I swear I’m not, just wanted to clarify some things. ☺️

One of my most favorite things about your reviews is you are so sweet and polite! Even if you don't like the item, you still find something positive to say. I feel like a lot of "food reviews" misstep there. You can dislike something without trashing on it, just bc you don't like the spice blend or a certain ingredient used.
