Book of the month for me was The Will of the Many! I also finished Prophet of Edan. I struggled a bit with the beginning I think partly because it was so much faster paced than the first, but the last 200 pages were awesome! Dr. Chase really subverted my expectations and I’m curious to see what book 3 has in store because like you, I was shocked that certain events went down so early in the series.

I am so excited to check out Empire of the Vampire because that sounds awesome and you have convinced me to check it out. I’m also really interested in checking out I am not a Serial Killer because you have sold it to me. I remember Daniel Greene did a review on it and I just wasn’t interested but now I am going to try it out. I am happy to hear you liked Bands of Mourning. I was luke-warm on it although I did really enjoy book 4. Also, darnit now I have to add Hexologists because I do love me a good steampunk. I also do really need to check out The Prophet of Edan. I might check it out after I’m done with the bound and the broken. My April started off alright where I read the last two Throne of Glass books, because it is my friend’s favorite series, and it was alright. The series was interesting but I could easily poke holes in it but I did like it although I think my rating has been going down the farther I get from it. I also read Othello and Psalm for the Wild built and I liked neither of them that much. I don’t like Shakespeare in the first place because I think his characters are too flat but I digress. I thought Psalm for the wild built was too on the nose with everything it wanted to say. Then I read Fool’s Errand by Robin Hobb which is easily my book of the month because of how well it tackled persecution, living in the now, grief, and so much more. I really needed that book and I didn’t even know it. I then read the Lies of Locke Lamora which was AWESOME! I expected absurdism but I got this super fun yet gritty book that just kept me really interested especially in that second half. And the twists it had for me were just wonderful. To those of you who read this far I hope you have a great week!

I look forward to Philip's series. April was another high quality month for me: *Fantasy* Tawny Man 2: Golden Fool Tawny Man 3: Fool's Fate - My new favourite trilogy! I'm taking a wee break to prepare for Rain Wilds but I can't wait to return to Hobb's writing. *Grimdark Fantasy* Sharp Ends: Made A Monster (re-read) Sharp Ends: A Beautiful B@st@rd (re-read) - Gearing up for a First Law re-read. *Memoir* The Disaster Artist / Greg Sestero & Tom Bissell - I don't usually like audiobooks, but this was great. I never tire learning about bts stuff of Tommy Wiseau's The Room. The film adaptation with James Franco does play a lot of the content in the book up for laughs, even the creepy and really toxic parts of Tommy and Greg's friendship (huge power and financial imbalance going on), and that's not even mentioning Wiseau's onset behaviour... *Thriller* Grave Descend / Michael Crichton - Kinda forgettable. I read the bulk of it in April but finished in May: *Steampunk* Books of Babel 1: Senlin Ascends (re-read)

For now, «The Fort» is my book of the month, as I loved being back with the characters I had come to really enjoy by the end of the «Vindolandia» Trilogy and Goldsworthy really knows how to weave real history into his story! I have really enjoyed «Sun Eater» so far, I know «Demon in White» is the favorite of many, so maybe I just need one more book in the series to go from enjoying to loving it! If you think about time as you get older, it feels faster because a year is a less percent of your life. To a 5 year old a year is 20% of their entire life. To a 50 year old it's 2%. That makes a single year seem so much quicker!

Did you guys manage to get the Dragonsteel tickets? It was a nightmare for me. I wanted VIP tickets but the site kept kicking me out and they were gone before I could buy them. I think I managed to get 2 regular tickets? The site is crashed completely now. Lol

Haven't gotten to "I am not a serial killer" but it's been on the list. Did you know there's a movie, starring Christopher Lloyd?
