A tip…to make the straps on the bags you are making not stretch so much, use two strands of the yarn and switch to a smaller hook. The strap will be tighter than the bag but will be much sturdier than crocheting with a single strand of yarn and the larger hook.

I once saw someone make one long chain and then a few rows for a bag strap. It doesn't strech as much as if you do short chain and many rows :) But then you'll have to attach it to your project differently so I'm not sure if it will work for everything, but just wanted to share if someone needs this tip :)

For the laptop sleeve bag, try reattaching the bag sling so the bag is landscape instead of portrait, then it won't be so long and narrow and easier to reach your things? :)

hi brenda, just thinking, the laptop bag you did for your partner, if it is not stable because it stretches, what about having a thick canvas material to line the inside of the bag and line the sling as well... it may work.

I would suggest to not redo. Instead you can just put cotton lining beneath it and then it would not stretch.

Is the accent Scottish? Irish? So lovely either way
