my writing year-in-review... what i accomplished (and didn't accomplish) this year.

Thank you for sharing the "I wish I'd written more short fiction" regret. I published my first short in 2022. And this year was my "finish my second novel" year. 2024 is the querying year. Your vlogs/vids always inspire me to keep going. Keep it up and I've got my fingers crossed for Local Heavens and its success. Here's to 2024! 🎉🎉🎉

Lots and lots of interesting ideas here. (I believe) I've said it before, but (really) it's always such a pleasure to hear you talk about Local Heavens, because the passion behind the project is palpable. I'm so excited for this project, and for all the other ones that you have in store. (On a side note, your anecdote about forgetting to explain what netrunning is was very interesting. Thinking about it, if I were to write a cyberpunk story, I'd definitely have the same problem. But I guess every cyberpunk story is potentially someone's first, and that's easy to forget.)

yeah!! i have a bad habit of under-explaining my world-building in general (bc i like to read under-explained worlds) lol. netrunning is fun because although it's a staple of cyberpunk media, it's always interpreted slightly differently depending on the story. so it's cool to treat it almost like building a magic system!
