Everything is a Surprise when you live without Expectations.

Appalachian Trail 2024 attempted thru hike. Hiking Southbound from Grayson Highlands - did about 12 miles today from mile 500.2 - to 488.2. I love living without expectations and seeing life as a surprise everyday. Just Wing it. Expectations cause disappointment in my opinion. Today was filled with rain and fog yet still was an amazing day of hiking.

I don’t think I’ve met a more positive attitude in viewing the AT hikes. Your channel is refreshing, especially since you’re in my home state. I’ve never understood the term “Va Blues”. It must have come from hikers gaging their hike by ticking off states. VA is beautiful and if you look closely…. You’ll see that beauty even in the faces of locals. Happy hiking!!!✌️🙂❤️

I cannot wait to continue to see what’s in store. I believe wholeheartedly that contentment/happiness is an inside job and it’s certainly not dependent upon the weather or the trail; but wow does it help. I don’t know how anyone can possibly have the blues out here. I’m grimacing every single step with this ankle - and still wouldn’t be able to stop at this point. I’ll limp my way through smiling the entire time.

Right now IS the greatest moment because it is actually all we have. Please be careful brother, I know the wipe outs come along. You're doing just what I would love to be doing, I'm just stuck like that log on the rock in the stream. Responsibilities... riding it out until my time.

The town rents bikes & shuttles you up creeper trail & you can ride the bikes down. Looks like a fun fun way & as I’ve seen many KZfaqrs hike the trail it is beautiful.

The Creeper Trail was amazing. Tomorrow’s video will show some of that trek. Left at 430am and hiked 18 miles into Damascus before 11am. Loved every minute of it (except when o fell again 🤣).

The weird thing about vlogging sometimes is that you may mention a beautiful view you are enjoying and the subscribers will often say something like, "If you think that's good, wait till you get to the Whites." But I'm not in the Whites . . . I'm here. Help me enjoy now, not then. There is no "then." I hope you enjoy Trail Days. Cool experience. Not really my gig anymore, but it's worth experiencing! 🤘🕓

I wanted to witness trail days for sure - just to be able to have that experience; but I am glad to be back on trail at Grayson now. I camped at broken fiddle - only walked into tent city for an hour and that was plenty.
