Sure, the descent down Chiliad might have been bad...but it was also one of the more hilarious descents! Especially the doors following and hitting him all the way down 😂😂

In retrospect, switching to the Baller was a good decision. Most other cars would have been undriveable after sustaining that amount of damage.

According to RBS who holds the most Gfred records, it's not faster using the train tracks in or out of the quarry. The exception being if you would have to wait for a passing train. He used to think it was faster around a half year ago, but since has found it not to be the case. RBS explained that despite the slightly shorter route, the speed lost offroad means it takes slightly longer to get to that checkpoint than if taking the highway as far as possible before cutting across to the quarry.

1. You most definitely ruined his jump. 2. That was a sick 720 dive into the water. 3. The fastest way into the quarry is just past the on ramp beyond the bridge, angle at 45 degrees, aim for the hump.

#3 isn't true according to RBS, the person who has the most Gfred records. A KZfaq commenter under 1 of his Derfg videos I saw over a month ago told RBS he could cut some time off with a shortcut into the quarry. RBS said he tested it & found the current route he used was actually fastest... that route was him getting off the highway into the quarry where everyone goes onto the highway from the quarry in a regular Gfred. No shortcuts. RBS explained that there is actually a slight time loss because of the decrease in speed going offroad via the shortcut. RBS is very competitive & if you watch any of his recent Derfgs, you will notice he doesn't take any shortcut into the quarry. I believe he does a Derfg at least once every 2 weeks, if not every week.

His runs don't interest me. In my experience with Humane Labs Raid - Insurgent, which I did plenty, the path I described is probably the same you mention. It's the fastest way. Between the two billboards, run the hump over the tracks. If done right you don't even slow down for it.

@@DJ_Mooseknucks BS! When the mph show on the minimap you can see the drop in the maximum mph. It definitely DOES slow down significantly no matter where you go offroad. It doesn't matter if you're not interested in RBS' Gfred/Derfg runs. His testing still applies. RBS is someone who is super competitive & has sought to shave every possible second he could, where he could. RBS has time tested the fastest way into & out of the quarry... I'll trust the person I described knows the fastest way vs some random person who took an Insurgent, didn't even recognize the offroad speed loss, & didn't test times of the different pathing.

@@DJ_Mooseknucks Either RBS or Verdilith were highly likely the person to tell Broughy/Adam about that shortcut in the first place. They both used to use the shortcut into & out of the quarry for a short time until it was tested & found to actually take longer. Then they reverted back to the old way, which is as I stated in my previous comment. The ONLY benefit of using the shortcut is in the rare occasion if a train was blocking the best/fastest way.

I know I'm right. There's a speed loss everywhere, it's all dirt. Don't know what the hell you're talking about. It doesn't take long to test, it's point A to point B geometrics. There's only 2 direct paths available. It's easy to pick from there. Again, cut in after the on ramp, aim at hump, hop the tracks. Can be done at full speed if done right.

Broughs doing alternative lobbies, i.e. joining the PH Gfred means you cannot join PS5 Gfred, and joining PS5 means you can't join Xbox, and so on 8th Gear is not included because they have higher player counts
