Andriy Novozhen from Alchevsk has been fighting against Ukraine since 2017. He managed to serve in illegal armed groups in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and took part in Russia's full-scale invasion. However, his time in Ukrainian captivity made him change his point of view: it turned out that prisoners are not abused here, but are treated as human beings. In an interview with Lyubomyr Ferens, Andriy told how he fought and was taken prisoner, why he cannot identify his nationality, who he considers guilty of the war, and whether he is ready to be punished for treason.
