I am still fairly annoyed by the normals being moved to the modifiers, I am worried about how it will bake those normals when I am moving between programs.

should be the same as ever. The exporters will simply have to be updated to go through the modifier stack accordingly

@@Kram1032 If the modifier automatically sat at the bottom of the stack I wouldn't mind as much. But any time I add any new modifier I have to move the damn thing down

Amazing! How do you make the UI look sooo good, so sharp? Do you use the default font? Do you use Windows?

Thanks! I bump up the UI scale in preferences before recording. I am on Windows but I didn't think that makes much difference

Is something new about alpha with bloom effect or its stay like was before ?

bloom is an additive effect, meaning it can't easily be represented with transparent pixels (which use normal linear blending to interpolate between background pixels) there are ways around this, for example, you could render the image both with and without transparency, and then set the blending mode of the one without transparency as additive, and put the transparent one above (assuming ur using a render in photo editing software) or you can use a separate rgb node (in the compositor) on the non-transparent image (set it to separate hsv) and add the value channel to the transparent image's alpha channel to make ur new alpha mask

Never. Unless some dev gets needlessly obsessed with it and implements it, it's going to be so far off the radar for "normal" development that it's not even remotely going to be implemented.

muscle simulation will come after node based physics simulation get implemented, at that point, FEM sims will be possible in Blender without using the old cloth sims to fake muscle sims.

Moving autosmooth to GN (and apparently ALL modifiers) is such a dumb move. Like gimme the option to use those in GN (since they'd be really useful inside it), but don't force me to make some giant GN setup just to mirror an object. Programmers really think backwards as hell sometimes. I also can't wait to see all my projects using the musgrave texture be borked by them removing it. Boy oh boy 🙄😮‍💨

Those will be default GN modifiers already present in Blender. If you don't want to go into GN, you wont notice a change as the modifier will be the same, juste GN based. But if you want to tweak the modifier, then you can fo into the giant GN setup.

@@alexandre.albisser I realize that. Still doesn't make it any better. Odds are we're going to get GN "solutions" with half the functionality present in the existing modifiers, and when you call it out you'll get a clueless dev going "wHy wOuLd yOu wAnT tHaT?". As if their ignorance of a workflow excuses the removal of vital components of a modifier. Not to mention I HIGHLY doubt some complicated ass node setup is going to be any more performant than a dedicated modifier.

Previous projects with musgrave texture will be automatically updated and ported with the new noise when opening them with 4.1.

It's CRAZY that they removed the AutoSmooth FEATURE. Switching back to 4.0.2.
