When you all play together you should connect your bases with the train tracks. Maybe even build a separate communal area that all your trains connect to, and that’s where the saloon is where you play poker and get together for cave runs/wyvern egg collecting/parkor stuff eco builds/etc.

Few things you missed, you can hide in barrels, you can trap your treasure chest with c4 (credit to Raasclarks stream for that info).

We desperately needed more furniture and building options, this is huge. And this is just from one pack, imagine what it's gonna be like when aberration and extinction come out, the max max aesthetic will be a bit hard to work with, but I am so excited for the steampunk theme, it is going to look amazing

for the plant pot, if you have one in your inventory and go up to a plant, if you use a shovel on the plant, it'll put that plant into the pot in your inventory, allowing you to place plants wherever you want.

In a multiplayer server, it would be interesting to have a train system with multiple tracks leading to different bases. The main track could lead to a hub where players could trade and interact with each other in a shared base.

Maybe the scaffolding costs fewer resources, so that you can map out where you want to place walls later on?

It's nice to see Ark supplying pve/rpg type additions.

The plant pot you keep in your inventory, and you can shovel up plants around the map. They go into the pots and then you can place the plants around your base. Allows you to customize the landscaping around your base ^_^

I love the fact that the outfits go with the story for scorched earth.

I hopw they add more vehicles i love the idea that you can either tame animals or fully invest in machinery like Trains, Airships, Ferrys, canons, cranes, drills.

the cart functions exactly like a platform saddle, the jank of having to move the dino around and angle it wierdly to place walls at a reasonable distance has been there since day 1 10 years, a 60 dollar update, and paid dlc on top of paid dlc that you already bought before btw

The frontier skin is going to make metal structures look more appealing but also have the heath of metal

I saw someone on Twitter say the potted plants are used with the shovel to take wild plants as decor

They need to make the phoenix breedable

I do love that Wildcard is doing more to encourage playing with friends with the new activities and interactive decorations.

Those beam walls are perfect for beefing up cathedral style ceilings in like a log cabin. Love it.

neat little decoration was the one thing I think ARK's building system really needed! Sure, in ASE the system was jank as hell, but even then people managed pretty well. I'm so hyped to see your new scorched base!

The plant pot isn’t bugged, it requires a shovel and allows you to pick up shrubbery and flower. Patches from the ground for use in your base. That’s why you can’t put anything in the pot, it’s probably meant to be purely cosmetic.

I had a shooting range in scorched earth before so the bottles will be awesome!

Dude. Can you build on the trains? Imagine an armored war train covered in armored steel boxcars, firing ports, weapon emplacements, and turrets.

You should do something where every time you die you make a new coffin and make like a funereal and at the end you can see how many times you have and when i say at the the end of the playthrough.

With the rotating stoop you could male a good entrance for a secret compartment

My big concern is that the tall tale pack is gonna add airships to Aberration and that defeats the entire point of Aberration being themed around not flying. Just feels like Genesis again where it's "we don't care about the setting we pitched prior, we want to make money so screw it all."

@syntac put the pots in your inventory then take the shovel to a plant and dig it a pot will turn green then you can place as many of that plant as you want. And when killing wild dinos they have a chance to drop a treasure map that you can use the shovel to go dig up.

Surely they could make it so the survivors hair can be set to show out the sides of the hats?

When that build on the cart disappeared its rendering problem, bug of some sort. It happened on Island with raft builds and it also happens with Oasisaur so i guess its platform related. Going out of render kind of fixes it but you have to do it twice with Oasisaur, on first out of render Oasisaur disappears almost completely apart from its head and falls into the ground xD. Hope its gonna get fixed soo.

My only complaint to this is that we didn’t get any island version of bobs tall tales like scorched or the next three story maps. Idk what they would add, but I feel like the island should have gotten a BTT theme. Scorched is western, ab will be steampunk, and extinction will be post apocalypse/mad max. I’d also enjoy stuff like this for non story maps too. Such as fjordor and rag having Norse themes. Crystal island could be more “magical.” Valguero and lost island could be more tribal such as Aztec or Native American.

Imagine getting a huge server, a train that spans the whole map, and then doing a capture the train gamemode where people on ground mounts had to get onto the train (Shoutout to red dead 2 for having this exact gamemode)

For the plant pot u will need to have it in ur inventory ad use the shovel to dig up any plant or bushes the when the pot turns green u can basically place it down and it will replicate any plant u shovelled

On the pot, you have a empty one or more in your invo or hot bar an use shovel with plants in the wild. It will copy that plant into the pot an you can place it for decor. But they are only for decor. Like cactus anvsuch

The scaffolding should be for under the train. When you need to raise it up you don't necessarily need to do pillars

You may have figured this out but the plant pot does work but it doesn’t grow actual crops but it rather displays them, put you plant pot in the hot bar and go to any plant you want in the map and use the shovel and it automatically transfers it to the pot and you can place it.

I want to make a Jurassic Park with a train going around it now. But i'm not spending $30 for a train. lol

The cart will make Golem taming way easier.

Imagine putting turrets on that cart damn you'd be unstoppable. Although if you could manual turrets it could be a way to take down golems and tame the titanosaur

lol, the cart needs works... you can fly with your cart using an argy pick up😅😅 That's a mobile base, it's useful in some sense.

my only critique is the oasisaur. the promoted it to be bigger and you can build alot on it but you really cant. and the materials on it cant be harvested. also the plant, you put it in your hotboxes and use a shovel to harvest any plant then you can place that plant anywhere.

Put the pot in you hot bar and use the shovel on the plant you want and it will add it to the pot and it will turn green in your hot bar when it worked

Is there a possibility that the bell could be interpreted as a signal to nearby animals to attack, but only if there is something to attack? I assume that if there is nothing to attack, the bell would be ineffective. This is because people could accidentally trigger aggressive behavior in their animals, which would override passive mode.

Honestly I still think that Wild West style does not fit SE... Middleeastern style would fit it better for sure... tbf I'm not a fan of that adventure pack at all, but that's just a personal taste thing... Anyway that scaffold walls that you showed at the beginning is probably for making train bridges, and that actually is something that interrest me. The train is another thing that I'm not a fan of, mostly becouse I'm pretty sure ppl will exploit it in one way or another, and for sure ppl will do some ugly carts on it... :P Also it will all probably be nerfed a lot in near future... As for that new creature... The oasis part of it looks nice, but the creature looks like it needs more details.

I wonder how long it will take someone to build a railway down into the wyvern trench. Would be cool. Could potentially pick up lots of eggs from the relative safety of the train.
