With half the characters getting the powers of gods, I am starting to feel a little worried for Charlie.

Seeing as Wortox has been known to travel to completely different worlds, traveling across a small map shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

The fact you can strengthen Bee Queen with Wickerbottom book makes this an amazing upgrade by itself.

So Wickerbottom now has a book that allows her to mass-estinguish fires, which give her a fire-based weapon in return..... I'm sorry, but why was this power given to Wickerbottom and not WILLOW? Giving her the ability to extinguish fires easily would be the perfect way of reversing her reputation as a griefing character while also fitting with her theme of fire, something that's been pushed to the wayside in favor of her teddy bear.

I am glad Wickerbottom didn't get a book meter where she would need to read a book per day to survive

Tempering Temperatures also makes you immune to rain until you die, for some reason. Probably a bug? Horticulture, Expanded also seems to talk to farm crops while growing them, giving you more seeds. Still can't grow giant crops, though.

Surprisingly the one change that wortox soul hop to anywhere in the map just overwhelmed me more than the entire wicker rework

You can use Horticulture abridged 4 times, restore 1% to it with the book shelf, use it a fifth time and then craft it into Horticulture Expanded. You could use this to quickly gather your desired plants with Abridged in the early game and then use Expanded to farm the plants you actually wanted. Since they get tended by reading, you always get at least 2 seeds + 1 crop. Pretty usefull.

The Wortox update was in response to the broken control scheme on console. Its a nightmare trying to manage soul hopping and doing anything else.

Minor correction upgraded horticulture is for farm plots, it tends crops and will give happiness points still, can't be giant crops thou Edit: u still need to water and fertilize them Edit 2: everything enclyopedia also gives all prestihatitor recipies, orange did say this one I'm stupid sometimes

I like the new additions for the most part but they completely neglected the thing that made some of her books useless and others broken: The lack of control. When you read a book, the effect can happen literally anywhere onscreen. There should instead be different areas of effect for different books, and these aoes should be visible in dotted lines while holding the book. Klei has proven with the Forge that they can make it happen. The End is Nigh for example having a very small aoe would enable you to actually control the lightning and use it as a weapon. Horticulture Abridged could have a relatively small aoe while Applied Silviculture and Horticulture Expanded could have a larger one. Books such as Sleepytime Stories could still have a large aoe so they are not useless.

I don't know how you managed to cramp so much information in a 5 minutes video and still make all of it clear as day. Good job.

the thing im interested the most is her animation. so after her rework… we have wilson and maxwell left, the big characters.

I'm glad wickerbottom is getting some love from Klei, but I really hope they don't leave Maxwell out to dry in the next update.

The rework looks pretty neat, a simple yet fun one, I just hope they change some of the books, because some of them are pretty bad compared to others Also the soul travel across the map with Wortox, just YES!!!

Arachnophobia is actually pretty good when it comes to farming nightmares basically turning terror beaks into crawling horrors. It also helps deal with late game hound waves it you get caught outside of your designated hound area and even in the area it still proves to be useful. 8/10

I love the implications of the Lunar Grimoire, like Wickerbottom just shatters reality like glass. Also why on Earth would you think its a good idea to fight the Bee Queen with her own minions, like that's just some smooth brained shit.

The spider book is really cool paired with the fire pen. Putting enemies on fire makes them armless for a while and the slowdown allows you to hit them.

Fun fact! Both of the Lux books can be put above a farm to let them grow even during the night

I love auto repairing anything so this bookshelf feels like a godsend.

As someone who usually has a pile of butterflies or bees in the inventory when i wortox... this will make my life sooo much easier, go to spider hell, commit mass murder, warp to bee hell, capture everything that has wings, go where i want for quite some time, shoveling souls into my mouth when im hungery or tossing them when i want "some" sanity (2 each isnt much, but better than nothing)

OK the rain books is pretty great. You can get the electric damage bonus whenever you want and prevent wild fires during summer!

I think this will make wicker the ultimate griefing character. Controlling rain to drive everyone insane/freeze or kill off wx mains. Setting full moons to annoy woodie mains and block shadow piece spawn. Grumble bee spawns to make queen bee significantly harder. Renewable fire staff. Though to be fair she can also use these powers for good as well.

Overcoming arachnophobia reminds me of way back when, when they introduced shovels and let you dig up spider webbing and place it down elsewhere. I don't know how practical using it to slow enemies is, but if it doesn't affect players, then it could be kinda nice for kiting some enemies. If it affects rooks, maybe you could use it in the Ruins to affect the Ancient Guardian and the broken rooks? Or that one really fast spinny attack on the lunar boss.

Does the spider book slow you down or only the enemies ? Because if its omly the enemies thats gonna make figbting so much easier its a speed up for you in a way pair that with a a yellow gem vest plus cane and you can easily kute anything

If you can make it a full moon everyday, you can get a new Glommer everyday, and hence 3 krampuses every day, and hence a chance to get a krampus sack everyday. Phenomenal

i think one of my fav ones is the alchemy engine book, i always have the stuff for a shadow manipulator but then i need to go get rabbits but now i just need a small doodad its amazing

the lux book does count as natural light, so you can use it to grow stuff underground or at night.

2:50 does this mean that with 0 sanity you can't use the books effect and it instead summons a nightmare creature or it does both? If it just summons a nightmare creature does it take away durability from said book?

I have a problem so if I try to play DST it says that I can't play because I need to rewrite files in the config directory, and I went to the steam support page for help and the first options didn't help and the rest of then needed you to understand how to go in the game files and I am too dumb to do that so could you please make a video on how to rewrite the files.

Ive seen people say that Wicker is mainly a swap character for Wurt and Maxwells but I think its also notable that Maxwell and Wurt are much more late game or Mid game than Wicker, whereas Wickers very much more early game, so in a sense Wurt and Maxwell should be the swap for Wickers. the klaus fix was way overdue, it wasnt only wanda who could do it, anyone with a tail-o-three cats or bull kelp stalk could do it, ruins the fun, plus it is still possible to cheese him if you get a sac near the pig king and lure stagehand over, IDK if his elemental attacks damage lureplants but if they dont get a flingo and you can use them too, added bonus they'll stun the deer making fight easier if it works
