I love how there's a diverse mix of "Hear it right away" to "Hear it if you listen closely" to "Hear something similar" to "Kiiiind of a stretch." But it's kinda fun listening to the stretchier ones and listening for what's supposed to sound like Elec Man. :)

Thank U 4 sharing my submission 👍 If you ever want to make yet another update, you'll find Elecman's Theme hiding in Space Harrier's main theme which plays along with it as a secondary backup theme. Not all ports have it. But it's definitely in the arcade version.

In fact the _Space Harrier_ theme is a rip off *Seiko Matsuda* 's _Cherry Blossom_ (1981) and _Midnight Resistance_ (1989) BGM1 _Surging! Power_ sounds like it around 0:54

Super Star Force has an ElecMan in its DA 0001/0316 track, the 3rd stage theme or 4th track in most rips, but the part that really sounds like it is over a minute into the loop! That game had some rather long music loops for 1986 on the Famicom.

Another additional track is Shunsuke Kikuchi’s Spirit Bomb theme (M1020) from DBZ Tree of Might. And the iconic bgm where M.Bison screams, “YES! YES!” In the Street Fighter cartoon, although it doesn’t share exactly the same melody, does contain the same notes, but swapped in a different order.

Have you listened to the soundtrack of the 1989 miniseries Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket? Specifically the music used to introduce Al. I actually first caught the _last_ episode on TV, where that ElecMan-sounding theme was the big finish! It's also funny how the first episode sampled sound effects from another recent Famicom game, Super Mario Brothers 3.

Ok, discovery when I was driving home from vacation: The guitar riff at 7:15 in the 9 minute version of Christian Woman by Type O Negative - Storm Eagle from Mega Man X had to have taken inspiration right? There are already a lot of rock references in the X series so I don't think it's too wild of an assumption

A lot of these are stretches. Some are pretty damn close. I know “Girls in Cars” which was Strike Force’s theme music in WWF is always the song that always comes to mind when I hear Electric Man’s music. For some reason they used it for The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase in Wrestlemania for NES.

Not really. If anything it just proves that with enough creativity, you can take something as simple as a four chord progression and make virtually endless combinations by building on top of it. It's still the same skeleton, just with different meat.

Is there a master list for this topic? Part of the song "Every Praise" has the same four notes. On a non-elecman note, does anyone else hear a similarity between Mario Odyssey's "Jump Up, Superstar!" and "Whistle While You Work" from Snow White?
