Big Z does it again. Hey Z, I see that CLA bass is your go-to plug in. Can you make a video on why you are using that plug in and what that does? I am sure many of us curious about the plug in. Thanks!
@BigZMusic5 жыл бұрын
It basically just allows you to use only one plug-in to process your bass. and it's so easy to use - it just has compression, distortion, EQ, and a couple other things

Thank you KZfaq for bringing me here! Best tutorials ever. I know this is an old one but I'm wondering, is it best to always stack leads or can you get away without it? I had some mastering issues in the past due to increased loudness from stacking, however I was at this time not EQing enough and I used stacking on the kick drum. I did learn though that bass is where you want to cut the most, followed by mids and then highs. Great video and sorry for the ramble.

Sound Design: some of the notes in the lead sound more punchier as they have a click noise. How do you achieve that?
@muneebj.40104 жыл бұрын
Already tried that but it doesn't have the same effect. The closest I've gone to this sound is by keeping the attack and release minimum. Turning off the legato and doing 'something' which has a reverse legato effect. Add shorter notes also help, just make sure they don't touch other and have atleast 1/8 beat distance b/w

Yeah sometimes I'll pan one of the lead layers way left and one way right. But you still always want the main sound right in the middle

I love your vids so damn much man. Please keep doing this, i just want to learn more after each video. One thing thought that i dont quite understand. I know what that tape delay is, to me its a delay, but you say you are adding tape saturation, what is that exacly and how do you do it? thanks!

@flowdreas53515 жыл бұрын
Hey man I love your videos! Question though: if you want a different melody with a different synth to play later on in the song over the lead melody you just showed, do you delete the higher parts of the original lead melody or do you just pan the new melody slightly to the left/right? In other words, how do you layer different leads throughout the song while still giving each one their space? Oh, and hook em \m/!
@BigZMusic5 жыл бұрын
It’s never a good idea to have 2 different lead melodies playing at the same time it’d be way too crowded

Not really sure what your problem is, could be reverb or not enough synth layers to fill out the leads/synths, or could be something else

@@tails8684 It would be cool if he used many plugins instead of 1 all the time bro:)

By Alex those two synths you named literally do the same exact thing adding more things seems unnecessary imo

Sorry, I always just wanted to get really good at one synth (which is obviously Serum for me). Once I feel like I've mastered it I'll learn another one really well but for now it will be almost all Serum sorry!
