It definitely won't take as long. The 5 years was me working on EVERYTHING related to the comic, from th script to character designs to area designs, etc. That way once I get to making the chapters I can just keep pumping them out. I'm hoping to realease a chapter every 1-2 months! (but we'll see what happens lol)

@@OliversAntics69 No stress. Trust me, I understand how long the prep work can be since I write novels. I'd rather read amazing chapters spread out over a longer period than rushed chapters. Take your time. PS You've inspired me to give comics a try. Currently working on storyboarding a simple one shot. It's hard but fun

I've been following your channel since 2020 and I remember all the times you've talked about your comic on videos. I was always excited to hear about your comic since I'm really into fantasy characters and worlds, especially hearing from them on your character videos! I'm so excited about the comic, I'll be waiting for November knowing that I won't be disappointed for sure! I remember when I'd only been subscribed to you a couple of months and when you mentioned the comic I was so excited to read it and that excitement has gradually been building up that entire time!! and that was in early 2019 iirc. so the amount of excitement I'm feeling is off the charts and just the knowledge it's coming will get me through my final assessments for this year!! also; technical perfection is impossible to achieve but pouring your heart and soul into something makes it perfect despite that

I think the vampire king/dad is gonna be named Mordecai, fits the vibes of previously named ocs. it means "follower of Marduk" and the god was a ruler who stood for justice and order soooo im pretty confident in the guess ///but i dont know if its already a different character that i subconsciously took the name from

I fking feel you, dude. I planned to make my short story comic in 3 months over the summer in 2020. I'm still working on it... (to be fair, I've been in college and working 1-3 jobs the whole time, so life happens. It's very short I just can only spend 10mins on it per month lol). Making comics will humble you. Now I'm just annoyed I'm still working on what was supposed to be practice for my major stories that I want to work on lmao. Anyway, big congrats, comics is hard lol

Something I've learned from one of my favorite Webtoon creators, Snailords, is that if you've made horny art of the characters in the comic Webtoons will not add your comic to originals. Which sucks. I'm so excited to see the series finally coming out!!!

As someone who likes to dissect and analyze stories I read, If I read to comic I would feel inclined to share my criticisms of it (the positives too). I know this is project is closer to your heart which increases the difficulty of receiving the criticism well. Do you feel you’d be okay with me voice what I think could be improved? And not simply from a writing standpoint but also the art (and layout of it) itself. Know that it is completely understandable if you would rather me keep to myself. Irregardless of your answer (or lack there of) I will still fully support you and your comic to the end. I am happy to see this 5 year dream become a reality :). Also, I pose a question for thee: What trigger warnings may be present in the series as a whole (gore, self harm, suicidal ideation, etc idk how dark this story will go) and if you could have a disclaimer at the beginning of chapters that have major triggers + a synopsis of what happened in the chapter that the reader would need to know. That would be much appreciated 💕

Of course! While this project is super important to me, when you share something like that you have to be okay with people sharing criticism and not liking parts of it (or the entire project for that matter). Seeing as I'm still new to comic making and have a lot of stories I want to tell, seeing what people like or don't like is an important thing to look at and learn from. Criticism is always welcome so long as it's constructive! I try to make everything as intentional as possible, so it'd also be nice to see if people can pick up on the things I uncluide knowing damn well people may never notice them (haha!) As for trigger warnings, I'm not sure there will be any. I plan on getting second opinions on that from friends of mine since I can't tell if they're REALLY not needed or if I just became desensitized from the heavier parts as a result from working on it for so long. It's not at all the darkest story you'll read, but I'll figure out if I'll include trigger warnings when those chapters come- they're still quite a ways away! I don't think I'd want to share what the warnings would be right now (just to avoid spoilers as much as possible), but if there are any I can't imagine they'd be anything more than a general "contains material not suited for everyone"

Now I'm curios: Did you write your script in a screenplay format or rather like a novel and then broke it up? And also would you be comfortable to share a rough estimate of the word count? I feel like script lengths are not often talked about and putting a let's say fantasy novel with "just" 50k words into a webcomic is a ton of work (noobie me gravely underestimated this)
