What FM got wrong is the fact that content creators are able to make KZfaq videos and say "This is the best "META" 4-3-3 etc" In football, there should NEVER be meta. You can always reinvent yourself. From xabi alonso, to mourinho, to ferguson, zidane There are Sooooo many ways to play this game. Enough with the same instructions, and same tactics. Would be cool to have some graphics with the tactics, like you could see animations of movements/ play you choose, like different runs and combinations. Maybe also have some graphics of when the tactics fail, you choose a high line and get a goal against you from a player running in behind your defence, you get an animated review of the game.

to address the "how to select" I would imagine they have 3 different databases, males, females and both Both as in "not mixed teams" but you as a manager can freely jump between the job of managing either male or female side of the teams. would add a sense of realism in my head atleast. parhaps even a career path "manage females club for x years and upon reaching board goals / achievments" you can get a promotion to the main squad of the males side or that you automatically are concidered a candidate due to your already successfull history inside their system.

and what about modding? skins, faces, logos? I doubt that would be easy like now

This all sounds good but my main worry now is, how much extra are they going to put on the price of the game? Let's face it they are here to make money so they won't swallow the cost of all this new stuff, I.E prem licences, new game engine etc. is it possible that we will be looking at what £70 - £100+ for FM25. I just hope they don't out price the game where they will loose players due to not being able to afford to buy it.

What is Draft mode? i never heard of it and I been playing this game forever now

I'm in the "not a big deal" camp, and not just because I don't play and am not interested in EPL (and I'm not the only one). It's only because dollars to donuts you're still going to have to do facepack, real name and other downloads anyway to cover whoever else has not come to arrangements with SI. For me it's just part of the installation process these days. That said... the question of whether the new model will break the facepack and real name installs is another issue.

id like them to bring back the quick play as well as the full game like they had in fm13

I would like for SI to bring more immersion to the game. More information about other leagues, matchday previews, more "lists" etc. At one point, my save goes really far to the point where I don't recognize faces and names anymore. I love regens and how the simulation handles game development, but eventually, I lose touch. The great thing about starting a save is knowing a lot of the players from real-life discussions, lists, achievements, rankings, etc. As soon as I get to my 10th season, every face and name is new, and I don't feel connected to the save anymore. My only familiar environment becomes my club, my league, and a few teams in the UCL. I'd love to see more immersion added to the new game, giving us information on what players are popular right now, who is in-form, more optional inbox messages with player summaries, and a better media panel overall. Also, they should improve the period around the World Cup and Euros to build up more hype for those events. They are HUGE in real life, but in the game, they feel like just another tournament. I'm sure there are ways to make them come to life a bit more (for example, for a FIFA WC match: waving flags on entrance, option to hear anthems, etc.). I like that they will be working on graphics, but it isn't the only way to bring more realism to the game.

I’m expecting the players in the engine to be similar to what we have but more detailed and maybe slightly bigger but I certainly don’t expect fifa style. With it being a completely new engine I’m also expecting first game to be quite a buggy affair until a first few patches similar to when they first introduced the 3D engine. I am looking forward to seeing how it all looks though.

We'll see. My PC is quite outdated, so depending on where the requirements are going, FM 24 might be the last version of the game I'll play. So I'm not quite as excited about this as I probably should be.

wouldn't "FM25 cycle" mean 25 and forward to the next big upgrade (not yearly installment) ? I would imagine they either do country for country or region for region in intervalled updates to ensure each and every female statistically as accurate as the males are on their side of the football system.. that will require extensive searching, data gathering etc. Idk if they should / could be able to do it in one fell swoop. then again.. I am not exactly an expert on the matter, so who am I say what they can and can't do :D

The deal with the Premier League is huge for investors and marketing. For a regular player it really doesn't matter. At this point graphics and competition names are basically the same as Skyrim mods. It has become a part of the game.

I'm nit expecting fifa graphics...but.. more realistic animations.. so that watching it looks like a real game from distance. I want players to have skill animations to see players duel...but for me...like in fifa manager serise l really want commentary during matches. It doesn't need player names at start even...but for me just sound crowd effects really spoils immersion. Look how old fifa manager is yet they managed to have decent commentary on that old game. Also l would love to be a manager and own club. To like in fifa manager have a screen where u design stadium...can build new club shops and hotels for income...training grounds etc.

Still can’t beat the old championship manager 01/02 era match day with crowd sound effects. Be great if they allowed you to play the game in that style as well

I fear my laptop will not be able to manage all these changes. If so, it will be the end of FM for me. At least, until I need a new laptop.

No comment from SI about a true tactics, set piece and training revamp, which is kinda underwhelming for me. For example, the ability to design training exercises that improve some aspects of your team's game.

I get ppl want better graphics but with the shit graphics it has now … it STILLS runs slow on alot of people PC especially if you wanna enjoy a lot of leagues and players etc. I’m all about better graphics but I think if they improve it by a lot it’ll be harder to play on most peoples PC 😢

What they should do is partner with fifa and have this game like what was fifa manager. When you have a game play it on fifa or manage it on FM.

I think Unity is the wrong engine for a non-interactive videogame compared to Unreal5, but it can still be decent. I just hope they will keep all the modding possible and actually expand it, FM is the perfect game for extended modding

Would be cool to see more improvements outside of top 5 leagues because so far thats where most of their focus is towards to. and before someone says just download mods, no. im not paying 40$ for a game just to download bunch of community modded stuff. if im paying i want a finished product.
