Dan, if you hold shift in the f3 menu, it brings up a pie chart. The chart shows how many and what types of mobs are on you screen, even if far away behind blocks. Go to where you last saw Rott, and look around, if a villager pops up on the chart, Rott is that direction. Save Rott, you got this. VARY IMPORTANT EDIT: I don't know when or why, but they changed it, you have to press 1 while holding f3 in the f3 menu. This must be new, because when I made the original comment I looked up how to do it just to double check, and it said to do shift. I just tested in game to verify it, and only pressing 1 works. Thanks to "danny-d0rito", in the replies for pointing this out.

Hey Dan, I think that you should organize your stuff into a chest room so you can navigate your things easier and also you could use Fungo’s new bookshelf enchantment for a level 30 enchantment table. And for your lava problem just put fences made out of warped or crimson wood to match the nether vibe and put them all along the perimeter. Hope this helps!

Villagers don't walk on magma blocks so if you put them under the iron bars it will still fit the nether theme and stop the villagers from jumping in

some suggestions i have for dan : +Lava at the nether portal+ 22:00 you should try to use black glass above the lava, if you prefer not to use glass, you can always use small patches of lava instead of all around your portal. +Villager Nether Farm+ 33:01 get soul sand, and nether warts instead of farming carrots since water doesnt work in the nether. +Dans chests+ 36:49 i noticed how your chests are very unorganized and have random items you have to look through for a simple item. try to build another small house next to yours for better storage arrangements. +Villager deaths+ (no specific time-line) instead of having the bars around your portal/lava, if you wanna keep the lava around the portal, you should remove the lanterns around your portal and instead hang them on your portal or set them ontop. just to keep the villagers safer. THIS IS ALL JUST THINGS I THINK WOULD HELP! IF YOU READ IT ALL UR A TRUE LEGEND

Dan, if you want to keep the lava but keep the villagers safe, just replace all the iron bars with walls. Then for the lanterns, build mini lamp posts on top of the walls.

Btw you can call villager back to their houses by ringing the bell, i don't know whether it works for villagers who are having secret meeting in the nether but i hope this helps.

Although the lack of water might also be a problem in the Nether :D The reason you could only plant 2 carrots is most likely due to one of them being the closest to the shroomlight-lantern on the fence. Dan, use the crimson or warped fence to prevent your village friends from swimming in the treacherous lava. Since those wood types are fireproof.

Dan, you should try putting orange stained glass and then lava underneath it, that might make it look nicer, and maybe surround the lava with netherrack too

couple tips for the world: 1: librarian villagers can sell name tags at a high enough level. 2: villagers can sleep in the nether, beds only explode for players. 3: imo, nether brick fences might look nice for the nether village. if you wanna test it out then smelting netherrack is the easiest way to get netherbrick (or you can go to a fortress)

i have 2 building suggestions for you, Dan… 1 - you can try and make artificial lava using orange glass with light source blocks dotted in. OR, you could just cover any lava you place with orange glass, which might look better than using clear glass. 2 - in the graveyard, you can use coarse dirt for the grave mounds and gravel for the surrounding land to really help pull it all together

Hey Dan, professional trapper here. Do 3 layers of iron bars and do slabs on top. For you pathway, you can still do your fence gates, but I would recommend do Mangrove or Crimson fence gates to keep with the nether vibe, and put it at the 2nd deepslate walls on both sides of your pathway. It should keep the villagers out. For you lanterns, push them further into the pathway on the deepslate walls, going after you gates but before your portal.

33:35 I have the same problem with farming anywhere that isn't on the surface of the overworld. The problem is, even though you can see easy enough, most places in the nether have a light level of 0. The reason you could place those two carrots down was because one was close to that lamp you made, and the other was close to the light coming through the window on the house. Just place a torch down next to the farm and you'll be fine.

Hey Dan! Love this series! You’ve been my childhood since I can remember. Just a suggestion for the nether portal, because the original design looks fire (literally). To keep the villagers out, you should (in later episodes) create a little “hub” or building for when you enter the nether, storing valuables and having other things in it, as well as keeping the villagers in an inclosed space! Love you man, keep it up!❤

Hey Dan! i have an idea for the lava around the Nether Portal. Use orange, yellow, and red stained glass in layers, so at the top have yellow, then a one black gap of air underneath, then a layer of orange, then another one block gap of air, then a layer of red, then another gap, then some lighting of your choice It will create a really nice lava effect and will be completely safe to walk on, just a bit of a pain to make. Hope you read this and i hope it helps

Here's an idea: use Nether Brick Fences around the lava pool. Edit: You could also use coarse dirt (made with dirt and gravel) for the graves

Tip: You can put coarse dirt as the ground for the graves so that you can still put the signs above them. also you should grow nether wart for the nether house because overworld crops need light to plant them and water to grow.

Hey Dan should have made a minecart system so that every time the villagers go in the nether they can come back also if you put carpet on top of fences it stops passive mobs from going over the fence.

Hey dan, a way you can keep out the villagers from the lava using walls instead of the iron bars. This will keep them out as they are 2 block tall. (I don’t know why they look 1 block tall) Another idea is make the glass coloured orange and yellow. If you add orange concrete for the grass it will look even. Hope I could help 💎 (my theory from other videos about Rott being evil cats successor hightens. I think Rott went to go to meet with evil cats ghost… who knows only time will tell.)

DAN! I've got some tips for you that you just might wanna see (All tips have been tested ahead of time on my Minecraft Bedrock world, but it should work on Java as well): 1. Iron Golems cannot swim since they are mainly made out of Iron and will sink no matter what. However, they cannot drown, because they are immune to drowning and fall damage. 2. I would suggest that you make roof over the entirety of the nether side around your Villager Nether Viewing area, since I keep hearing Ghasts nearby near your portal. You've already lost 5 villagers, I don't want you losing more from Ghast attacks 3. Villagers are able to sleep in The Nether and The End if nighttime is present in the Overworld, and the beds DO NOT explode for villagers in both dimensions

19:02 Dan you can make the iron bars 1 block tall. But then also put pressure plates around the barrier. Then put trapdoors on the top of the iron bars. Now when a villager gets close to the iron bars, the trapdoor will go up, blocking them from entering the lava pool.

Hey Dan, if you want the permanent long wall that doesn't go away, you can make a nine-by-nine square of water, have two blocks connected to the wall piece, and the have tnt dispensers on both sides, then drop the tnt into the water. This will blow up the side blocks but not the wall. Idk tho I saw it in a video so it might not be true/the right way.

You should add flowers to the villager gravestones(in flower pots)

Dan, for the farm in the nether, you could do nether wart, and for the bed you could make it red or orange. These are just suggestions for your playthrough

You can try luring that lost villager in the nether back to the portal with doors / beds, because villagers have a behavior that makes them go towards those. Villagers can sleep in beds in the nether for some reason so no need to worry about that!

I prefer the building of the large structures with the face cam in the corner. But whatever you want is fine Dan!!! Stay safe!❤

11:11 If you just open both gates, they basically become non-existent because you can walk straight through an open gate. To get villagers to breed, you need to give them at least 12 Beetroots, or 12 Carrots, or 12 Potatoes, or 3 Bread. I found this on the internet: Beds placed in the nether will explode when you try to use them. Fortunately for villagers, this rule doesn't apply to them and they can sleep in beds as usual when in the nether.

The Nether portal may be villager proofed for now but the villagers can still climb onto the iron bars then walk onto the deepslate wall with the soul lantern on top, if they can get on the soul lantern the villagers can climb over the fence gate. To fix this place a light gray glass pain on top of each iron bar so the villagers don't climb over and go threw the portal and chaos starts every episode with villagers!
