65 is a recent science fiction action film that has a great premise. Sadly, it also has gobs of sins--way more than 65 of them.
Thursday: mid-aughts comedy sins.
Remember, no movie is without sin. Which movie's sins should we count next?

I think this movie would have benefitted from having some paleonerds on board. Too many dinosaur movies portray them as more movie monsters than animals, but there's so much legit horror that could be done even with biologically accurate dinos if they're used right.

The worst sin in my opinion is ALWAYS having carnivores seem evil, like they creep up on you when you're cornered, or coming back for revenge, or when wounded still chasing you. EVERY animal when wounden will run to save itself. Revenge is possible but mostly for intelligent ones like elephants, dolphins and apes. And will always kill asap when they catch you, there is no slow-motion face to face creeping.
@neroarchangel
@neroarchangel 6 ай бұрын
You obviously have no knowledge how predatory carnivores hunt. A polar bear can smell prey from kilometers away and will hunt it down relentlessly. And when it comes to dinosaurs you can make up whatever shit you want, no one was around to see them actually behave.
@LucasCaminha
@LucasCaminha 4 ай бұрын
@@neroarchangel yeah, but the polar bear won't do a little roar and pose for the camera while stalking you, taking forever to actually go for the kill. It will just go. That's every "dinosaur" in this movie, they just keep shimmying and staring and growling without actually doing jack shit.

Some clarity: They did not time travel. The characters are supposed to be Aliens from 65 million years ago that just happened to crash-land on prehistoric Earth just as the Meteor was going to hit. They could have made it, so their ship was the accidental cause of the meteor hitting Earth but nope, just so happens that they land at the very time frame a once in a billion-year event happens and in the location on Earth it landed.

One comment on your sin about why/how this film happened to be right when the asteroid hits the planet...the movie clearly shows that the ship caused an asteroid to change its course, and thus is directly responsible for the hit.

You missed the point of the sin. The point is that every dinosaur movie seems to focus on the asteroid part. It doesn't matter how cleverly they explain the coincidence of his timing, they still fell into the same cliche of making a dinosaur movie include the asteroid.

8:49 - 9:05 - I loved Lethal Weapon 2, I love all the LW movies. My favorite parts of LW2 are the entire diplomatic immunity story with the South African villains officially setting up their own country in L.A., the entire toilet bomb situation with Murtaugh, Murtaugh's reaction to his daughter and boyfriend's condom commercial complete with the "condom tree" the guys at work tease Murtaugh with, introducing Leo Getz complete with his "They f*** you at the drive thru" rant. Now that Jeremy mentioned that movie, and gonna go watch it when I'm done watching this video

This movie was truly an incredible achievement in filmmaking. How one can make a movie about dinosaurs, space flight, and apocalyptic asteroid strikes so completely, terminally dull and pointless is a truly magnificent accomplishment. My kudos to the writers, director, and producers for managing to tell absolutely no story, with no identifiable plot, themes, or character development. The only worthwhile element of this movie was Adam Driver's evident abilities - he actually shows emotion in some scenes, and his ability to do anything with this total, utter lack of any material is a tribute to his skills as an actor.

I’m surprised he didn’t sin that when he saved Koa from cryogenics that it was clearly a fully grown women he was carrying, I went to see the movie with my mom and even she was like “where did the little girl come from and where’s the women he saved”. Also a personal sin for how there was no conclusion after they escaped… did they go back to the future? Die in space? Land back on earth to become Adam and Eve? Land on mars where it was safe to live but than turn it into the hellscape we know it as today? Heck that coulda been bait for a sequel

@@legendofacriuswithornament2019 after 3 comments I’m already burnt out, this movie wasn’t big enough for me to care about being right 😂. When this movie first came out the plot synapses was that he was from future earth (1 million years ago for us), and went back in time because of that first meteor shower somehow. That was why even after his scanner used star charts to find their location, it still couldn’t find his home, because he was on it. If that’s changed since than than I’m sorry for posting now inaccurate information
