This might be the laziest movie to ever be a box office hit and inspire a quick sequel... wait... I forgot about Daddy's Home. Anyway... this is a piece of crap. Sins aplenty. So on and so forth.
Next week: Recent-ish comedy sins, recent action sins.
Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

As someone with a mom who dropped me with my grandma to raise as a baby and only comes over to use my grandma for medication, tell me about her awful and horrifying traumatic experience stories, and a dad who doesn't know I exist and the only thing I know about him is he was in jail for drugs, I can confirm this statement. There was a comment down there too that goes "your parents do so much." Yeah, no. Not all parents. The kids in this movie also make me awfully upset. Their mom is having some fun, she didn't full out abandon them, did she? Maybe she did abandon them during the movie since I never watched it, but oh my god. I would *kill* to have a biological mom like the one in the movie, and would have this woman kiss and hug me as much as she wants in front of a school. I've never had that type of affection from my own biological mom. You know, it really sucks when some kids don't realize how lucky they are with some parents.

I hate when Hollywood tries to make movies about average families. They fail miserably every time. You know why? Because they don't know any real people! Example, NO ONE GOES GROCERY SHOPPING EVERY DAY! people may shop e dry day, but no one fills their shopping cart every day.
@akosbarati2239
@akosbarati2239 6 жыл бұрын
Erm... have you read studies on the phenomenon called food deserts aka lack of shops in a neighborhood that offer healthy food? If it's about an average family, that includes cities. People doing odd jobs may very well shop every day, as do people who don't want to fork out cash for Whole Foods, but still want to buy it fresh aka nothing with added preservatives, processed food, with too much fat or sugar. Also, she operates a sweatshop in the basement and the food is for the guard dogs, the hired thugs, and the Bangladeshi workers.

I go to the grocery store every day because I like to get fresh foods. Also, the writers are more average than you would think
@Libellulaire
@Libellulaire 6 жыл бұрын
"Fresh food" ? You do realize that the food you get at the stores isn't fresh, right ? It's been days since it's been picked up, got driven to the store, and put there. Unless the stores only buy from local farmers and you go there right after they receive the merchandise, the food isn't as fresh as you seem to want it. If you want fresh food go to a market, local farmers, or whatever...
@cs-zr9xy

There aren't so many farms in the city honey. I plan my meals out and get what I need for the day. Sometimes I don't eat in for a couple days, so the foods go bad. That's why it is easier for me to go every day. You will learn everyone is different, so you don't have to be a pain just because somebody else does things differently than you.
@Vincent_Beers
@Vincent_Beers 6 жыл бұрын
People who shop daily shop small. You are buying enough for a few fresh meals at a time. In the movie she was filling up shopping carts, daily. Enough for weeks at a time as if shes buying that much daily. On top of that the majority of it was canned/boxed, stuff that would last a very long time. the kind of things you wouldn't need to buy daily

Veronika Daisy some researchers say millennials start in 1977! Others say from 1980 but I would probably put them from about the mid 80's. Most early 80's kids aren't as technologically aware as those born after 85. I didn't own a mobile phone until I was almost 20 and no one I knew growing up knew anything about computers. I'm an 81 baby. I always think of millennials as those who grew up through their teen years with mobile phones and used computers to do their homework on rather than having to write stuff out by hand. My late 70's and early 80's friends just didn't have that but the kids who came a few years after us did. Maybe I just don't want to be lumped in with the stereotype of the spoiled millennial!
@loulabelle5082
@loulabelle5082 6 жыл бұрын
Veronika Daisy I hadn't heard of it until last year actually! I think of millennials as those born in the 90s who grew up in the new millennium, you know, like they hit 12/13 in the early 2000's and are in their early to mid 20's now. Anyone 30 or over (and I'm 40 in 3 years) had a totally different upbringing without the pressure or influence of the internet and social media on their early lives. We might all know how to navigate the internet now but we aren't like the Kardashian-inspired generation AT ALL. (Does it seem like I'm trying to distance myself from the vacuous materialism that is associated with the word "millennials"? 😂😂😂)
@loulabelle5082
@loulabelle5082 6 жыл бұрын
Veronika Daisy It's always been the same though. I remember being in my early 20's and thinking anyone older than me had no idea what it was like to be my age, I thought they were out dated and arrogant - especially my parents. Then you get older and have your own kids and you swap your point of view completely. Now I think young people are idiotic and have no idea how hard being a mum is! It's just the way it is, it's the way it's always been and I'm sure it won't change anytime soon. I wouldn't worry about it. I hate this label culture anyway. "Millennial", "feminazi", "mansplaining", "libtard", "sjw" - all just bullshit stereotyping to pigeonhole people. Aren't people just individuals anymore? Even the bullshit "I'm part of the LGBT COMMUNITY" label drives me insane. Aren't they just people with different preferences to other people. These labels don't help equality imo. But everyone has a different opinion on it, don't they. That's fine but on KZfaq god forbid you have a different point of view to anyone else, wow, don't they get offended!

Veronika Daisy Sometimes it's hard not to yell at your kids though, especially when a nice game of Barbie dolls ends with my 2 little girls hitting each other over the head with those dolls. I am the quintessential mother who says the same things my mother said to me, despite always saying that I would never ever say that. You turn in to your parents, its inevitable, and hopefully you realise before it's too late that you actually have a lot to learn from and thank your own parents for. Parenting is the single, most difficult thing I have ever done. You are tired all of the time because it's a 24/7 job. It's great but, bloody hell, it's fucking exhausting. And I have girls who NEVER STOP TALKING. Some days my brain feels like it's exploded!

- many children are embarrassed, especially from middle school onwards. Let’s not act as if it was a myth. None of your classmates? Have you ASKED all of them? Pretty sure some of them are. Put them in a mall with their parents, and then bring their friends. You’ll see how many of them like it - it doesn’t mean they don’t like their parents, it is a perfectly normal stage in the development of a person - hey, sorry to break your bubble, but not all parents are great, not all parents like their children and children do not have to love their parents. Please be considerate and stop saying that

Why did Patrick Stewart participate in the Emoji Movie? It's their job. They say their lines, they get paid. Sure, you can be a little picky once you're already established as a big name and your bank account is sufficiently stuffed, but do that too often and you might end up killing your career. Artistic integrity is nice and all, but movies are a business. Ideals and business don't tend to mix very well.

@pianopolly
@pianopolly 6 жыл бұрын
Nothing to argue there. I would think though that Mila Kunis and Patrick Stewart are well-established enough to not "kill their career" by declining a role in a relatively, if not completely unartistic product. I mean, they can do whatever they want, but in Mila Kunis' case it's not the first time she's "selling out". Other than Black Swan I cannot even remember any movie with her in the last few years that was somewhat ambitious. That is, in my opinion, more likely to be a career killer than not appearing in movies such as this. In Patrick Stewart's case, I believe he just did that because he doesn't really need to give a fuck anymore.

In MY state, Michigan, I believe you have to average 37 or more hours over 3 months or something. So around Christmas/Thanksgiving, all the grocery store cart-pushers, bagboys and stockboys are worked a solid 38-45 hours per week, but they always balance it out with 10 hour weeks so they never get benefits. To top it off, it's the busiest time of year with HUGE profits and freezing weather with snow to push carts in, so they get SUPER screwed. Personally, I work for a small business, so I don't get literally anything other than my weekly check even though I work 38-43 hours every week.

A certain amusement park I work at, will work it's part time cast members easily into overtime hours during the busiest times of the year (Holidays and summer) then during the slow season turn around and give them 10 or less hours a week to the point where they are desperately asking each other if they have extra shifts they don't want that they can pick up. I went to full time when I could (which wasn't easy at all) to get out of that pit of exploitation. The sad thing is, these part timers still don't get decent benefits or wages despite working all erratic hours, in all types of weather. And some of them are so blinded by the magic that they actually defend these practices as justified by the company.

I once worked for a grocery store that required me to pay union dues in order to work there, but made sure I never got enough hours to get "vested" in the actual union.

@@TheBeetress So she's full-time then. Part-time isn't really arbitrary. You're either full time or part time. Anything 32 hours or more is usually considered full time. I highly doubt she's working part time then. Also her husband must make a lot of money to afford a muscle car like that and a nice house. I call bullshit on that but Hollywood is so out of touch with people who work for a living to understand what "poor" is.

There actually IS a line in the hangover where Cooper says “omg I don’t think I’ve ever been this hungover before”

As a Mom I loved the movie for making me look normal. Just that I've never reached this level of insanity! Though I'll admit seriously have thought about some crazy things.

Yudha Bagaskara I agree, though I'm probably in the small percentage of people (in the comments) who liked this movie; Bad Moms Christmas just looks like crap. I wanted a sequel, just not the one I'm getting.

I actually had to skip parts because this movie was hurting me mentally.

The worst was them hating on uncircumcised men... as if millions of men that could potentially watch this movie are all circumcised. How would those bitches like it if genital mutilation was forced on them shortly after birth?

But Bradley cooper did say he had a killer hangover in the first hangover. It was in the beginning when they were still at the hotel

Not to mention that there's no fucking way there's that many moms on a PTA

Ally C Oh believe me it's possible. When I was younger, there were only moms on the PTA team. I even tried to get my dad on board. My mom wasn't there tho, something about them being fake.

Sure, but why SO many people on the PTA? In reality, it would be about 5 ladies in a school that size

My dad was part of the PTA for a short time and so were some other dads, but that was elementary school in the ghetto. The only people on the PTA were a bunch of upper middle class dickheads that lived in a nearby "high class" neighborhood that shared the same elementary school with the sprawling suburban poor city. My parents were the *only* poor people on the damn PTA, joined it only to help me help the poor school with fundraisers, and then left promptly after I was done with the vapid and vain horrible behaviour from the adults and children around me. And this was in "southern" east coast state. So yeah males do join PTA usually to support their kids or to be some sort of HOA style dill-hole. That being said it's still not super common in my experience.

the comment isn't about DADS or MALES not being on the PTA!!!! Goddammit! It's about how small these things are in real life. They are also powerless, and pointless, which is why they are small! Sheez! Put your sexism drums down!

8:14 The sin about a possible babysitter support system. I think Amy's excuse was she wanted to be a parent that interacted with her kids and be a part of their lives so they felt loved and were well cared for in her specific way. Plus she already had a routine made up. She didn't want to miss out on her kids' lives growing up. That's just a guess tho. But for evenings if she was so stressed out, then yeah hire a babysitter and get some chill time. There's no problem in taking breaks.
