I think one of the most enraging things about this movie is that the guy who heroically sacrificed himself didn't have to die since the other guy was already bitten and should've been the one to sacrifice himself instead.

That fat lady scene always bugged me, mostly in a hilarious way. She goes from being barely able to move, to doing a 100 meter dash towards one of the main characters within seconds. So you're telling me every zombie in this film could basically outcompete Olympic athletes and win the gold every time? Where do we sign them up at?

This film legitimately scared me off everything zombie related when I first saw it at the age of 8. Also really a smooth jazz version of down with the sickness, I think I'll stick to the original thanks.

Rewatched this movie today and counted so many sins but still my ultimate favourite zombie film. My 10 year old self was traumatised after watching this. 😂

I swear it’s one of the most painful things to watch when you know a character should’ve been killed in a scene, and actually would have been if they weren’t the main protagonist.

The sin for the elevator scene with the zombies is a good sin since early you see the survivor put their hand on the doors and it opens.Also there is a scene of the survivors putting the propane tank on the truck that's why it's there.

I never got why they never made a squeal to this movie, it was so good in my opinion and really brought out the whole zombie outbreak, really unfortunate with that ending too. Could have easily made a part 2 with new characters and a new country dealing with the outbreak.

I was wondering when You would continue this series. Thanks Zack!

I guess one (although not really good enough) point as to why the zombies couldn't just smash the malls doors open is because the building codes state the mall itself has to be tornado resistant and windows riot resistant.

Overall the 1978 and the 2004 'of the dead" movies were great. They are some of my most favorited zombie movies for their more realistic approach to horror and a little comedy. My only complaints about 2004 was that the story felt rushed by the time they meet andy everything felt forced by that point. And lastly, that there was never a second movie follow up to continue the story in this movie universe. Still one of my favorite zombie movies and many others also feel the same way. As for the zombie without legs, I guess the director would assume the guy had his legs bitten off. But yeah I was like wtf is that. lol

To be fair I’ve slept in the back of an Ambulance with the back open because my partner was finishing paperwork and I already decon the back. It’s common where I work to sleep in ambulance while waiting, and giving a point for an EMT and RN having different shifts is bull

Okay! Time for an overly long comment taking this WAY too seriously! :D I think I can explain the inconsistent incubation time for the bites. As soon as someone is bitten, they are infected. The infection, depending on how much virus was able to get in, will take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to kill/turn the victim on its own. However, if the victim dies before that can happen(Louis bled out in the beginning), they will turn within less than a minute after death. The lady that was being wheeled into the hospital at the beginning obviously was able to stop the bleeding in time, and get help. So, she would likely turn in a few hours or so. In Ludas case, she was barely nicked, so almost no virus got into her. That's why she lasts so long. When the nurse shoots the zombie in the arm, the shot penetrates into his spine. This causes his nervous system to stop working right, making him twitch all over the place.

"Why is the EMT napping in the ambulance with all of the biting calls going on?" BECAUSE of all of the bite calls going on. He's tired. "Why did the EMT say " its starting early" when the nurse was already working over time?" Because the the EMT and the nurse don't work the same shift and the two EMT's don;t necessarily work the same shift. I'm a paramedic and I often get a new partner after working the first twelve hours of a twenty four hour shift. Napping EMT may have already been on for some time and his partner just got in.

The biggest sin of this movie is how they abandon the beautiful full optional mall for adventuring on a boat. This aside, I liked it.

As a former EMT I can attest to the fact that we indeed take naps pretty much anywhere lol. Smoking prob isn't the best idea due to the oxygen we keep on the trucks but hey 🤷
