Do you have a dragon? Would you like to train it? Well, this movie really glosses over how to do that. But, we teamed up with Squarespace to build a website FULL of fictional made-up information that likely won't be any more helpful to real dragon trainers than this movie is: thisisactuallyhowtotrainyourdr...
Next week, a special guest.
Remember, no movie is without sin. Which movie's sins do YOU want to see recounted?

I mean there were multiple things that deserved sin removals, like the part where Hiccup says, "Excuse me, pardon me, you brought me the wrong offspring! (...)" That was a really funny part, and I've not really seen anything like it. Instead, he just whines about how he thinks someone got drunk and then made Brave.

You don’t even need the series for it not to be a scene, you can infer it. All of them cooperating in such a way that there does not need to be any currency present in any normal exchange due to it effectively paying off the other person for his service, whatever that service is. +zomyMuffin Yes, he should have sinned that part, but if was used in a satirical way. The movie was super self-aware about that moment. It was all set up to be a parody of the "badass who the main character has a crush on" cliché scene. So, the use was justified.

4:18 Humans have a blind spot too, besides the back we have one that's rather hard to notice but our teacher showed us. Also we not only has blind spots but A LOT of weak spots. Besides cutting next to the crotch on the leg, wrist and throat. We also have literally weak spots on our ribs under our armpits, grabbing our arm pits, under our jaw, front of the ears, liver, behind our lower leg and right below our rib cage. Shove a thumb or finger in any of these places for guaranteed pain and or girly screaming. My teachers did this and joint locks on me and i'm so thankful for all the vocal notes and sounds I made I didn't even know I could. Martial arts is painful but so damn fun XD also we are so damn weak all over.

#5: We see the door on fire in the next shot, don't think they just explode when torched #15: "Has the biggest badass father of them all" Yeah, but his mom was also quite, uh, what's a better word for scrawny? And also he's only 15. #16: There were actually Scottish vikings, so if you're going to have English speaking vikings, that'd make sense. #18: Yeah, just swap a gender or two and the entire plot and you've got Brave! #21: Because he's a good leader #26: That dragon was obviously trying to "go for the kill", as evidenced by the fact that it spit a fireball a split second after being pulled away, lmao. #29: What exactly did the book solve? The page on the night fury only said they knew nothing about them #30: Well, they're huge powerful creatures they've been dedicating themselves to battling year round for generations, it'd make sense for dragons to become a part of their culture and daily lives. #32: All vertebrates have a blind spot 2nd #35: What kind of wild animal immediately understands the concept of petting? #36: This might be a stretch but in real life bright colors like that are often a warning to other animals that means "I'm toxic stay away". (Edit: also apparently in the show dragons can get "eel pox" from eating them, they do make them sick) #38: I mean again Hiccup was a moment away from being torched by that gronkle before being saved #65: "If we find the nest and destroy it the dragons will leave. They'll find another home." Seems like he told everyone the plan during that meeting, idk what Gobber's on about #66: They'd already been to this area and failed to find the nest. They probably know the general area from following the dragons after raids. It's the trip you see them returning from earlier in the movie. #70: Night furies are a lot more intelligent than your average dragon. That's why it took so long for Hiccup to gain Toothless's trust. 1st #72: He's quite obviously restrained by the neck, so he can't move his head much at all 2nd #72 and 73: I mean Hiccup is about to risk his life here. #74: You should have noticed bro #76: A night fury's scales are fireproof and obviously Toothless wrapped Hiccup in his wings #82: I don't think there's a set rule on how long dragons, a fictional beast, live, lmao. So.. that's 21 out of 82 sins. Yes, I have too much time on my hands, and for the record I thought that axe returns joke was fuckin funny alright

As an obsessive fan of this series, coming back to watch this is really satisfying because about +80% of their sins are not actual sins, but their jokes, or questions of logic that can be answered after a minute of thinking about it. I want to do a rundown video to answer every pointless question they ask/subtract the sins that are just jokes. I bet the total count for sins would be ~15 or less to be honest. It also makes me grin that he can't resist removing two sins for Toothless alone, although I do think sins should've been removed for John Powell's incredible score. The music of this movie is absolutely unmatched to me; Forbidden Friendship & Test Drive sequences each deserved at least one sin off.

Like they did when Toy Story 4, a stupid movie that retcons the emotional and beautiful ending of the third movie and shouldn’t have been made because there was no reason for it, stole the Oscar from HTTYD The Hidden World. HTTYD is the BEST ANIMATED SERIES to never win an Oscar, hands down.

I just wanted to say, the directors and writers and writers decided to have hiccups lose a leg because if he didn't and they survive completely unharmed it would be the equivalent of a cowboy and is horse at the end of an old western. they wanted to have a stronger bond between Hiccup and Toothless so that the struggles they experienced would be all worth it. I'm not sure if I explained it right.
@C0deB1u3
@C0deB1u3 6 жыл бұрын
DarkWolf I was actually watching a documentary about it. You're basically right, one of the directors actually wanted Hiccup to die! But one of the other director producer's convinced him to just let him lose a leg. Which turned out to be a good change becuase it mirrors Toothless' s lost tail wing thingy... they were also going to have him wake up alone but they thought it was too depressing after he had just lost a leg so they had Toothless be there for him when he woke up. Also they didn't want Toothless to have the relationship with Hiccup the way a cowboy would with a horse, which is actually the original direction they were headed toward.

@@kenbee1957 To be fair, we learn from the Futurams movie "Bender's Big Score" that Seymour's life was nowhere near as bleak as Jurassic Bark would have you believe. Fry went back in time twice, and created a time-travel duplicate. That one stayed home, for all twelve years that Seymour was alive for after year 2000. So, it's not as sad as you would think.
