The rifle grenade is not an M17. By the shape of the model, it appears to be either a Panzergrenate 46 or 61 in the color scheme of a Sprenggrenate 30. The size is closer to a 46 while the shape of the head is more reminiscent of a 61. Looking at the texture files for the grenade, I believe they they modelled a Sprenggrenate originally, and then for some reason changed the model to its final design at a later date.

U know, despite all of those sins, I will take this game over Vanguard any day. Not only Allied Assault doesnt force any woke propaganda, this game is also easy to run (provided that u dont run this game under Windows 7 in certain PCs). Also the sound design is so great, I've been using them to replace default Half-Life 2 and Black Mesa conventional guns' firing sounds. Really, Source Engine's audio mixing is just making the sound effects feel better than the original Quake 3 engine.

The short explanation for this game is that it was early 2000 and nobody paid attention to firearm details. This game aged pretty badly. Great for its time in the post "saving private ryan" cinematic era.
