I think the scene where Clark is in the attic watching the old home movie is heartwarming and done perfectly, even his reactions as he watches. It's just short enough to not feel overdone or dragging, but that it's there at all gives the movie even more heart than it already has.

The sled scene is amazing because clark barely pushes the sled and he's halfway down the mountain in a second.

The superposing of the opening music from “The Shining” over the Griswolds driving to get their tree in the opening sequences of Christmas Vacation is one of the best mashups yet

2:01 It can, and it did. This was the late 80s and they were just insane (and possibly coked-up) enough to do this stunt for real with a stunt driver. You can even see the metal bars they put between the car and the truck tires to prevent it from being crushed if he slowed down too much. To his credit, the stunt driver absolutely nailed it, matching the pace perfectly. Hell, I'd take a sin off for that precision alone but I'm not here to tell you how to sin your cinema.

I have to watch this every year, this is a classic, this gets funnier every year, love the cast. Randy Quaid was a comedic genius in this movie, his comedic timing was perfect and Chevy Chase as the straight man who goes a little psycho was great too. "The Shitter was Full" with Randy smoking a cigar was hilarous. I also loved when Rusty showed up at the counter of the store and Chevy's reaction.

I love when CinemasSins points out something which has always bothered me in a movie. It is ridiculous that the grandparents would stay with them for at least two weeks. Especially since it means one set of grandparents has to sleep in bunkbeds and Audrey and Russ have to sleep in the same bed.

LOVE the "Young Doctors in Love" outtake at 15:09. Wonderful that anyone else in the world besides me remembers, and apparently appreciates the humor of, that film.

I love this movie and watch it every year. Every time I do I always wonder how that cluster of Christmas light extension cords didn't spark and set the whole house ablaze. Everyone knows that Christmas lights don't exactly have the best power sources, so put 100 of them together and... **DING**

I love the ends of these, when a one-second audio clip can make you laugh out loud because you know where it’s from and you immediately get the context. 15:44 was one of those for me.
