Once upon a time, they tried to spin-off the Bourne franchise with Jeremy Renner and The Bourne Legacy. And it's not perfect, but it's probably better than you remember it being. Plenty of sins, though.
Thursday: Vampires & animal mysteries.
Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

At 7:30, the “evil chick” sets down her gun to get a bandage, and then the camera cuts to Aaron Cross in the basement improvising a weapon. He then uses that weapon later. I didn’t think this sequence was that confusing. But I still enjoy the videos. And frequently, the movies themselves! Cheers.

13:20 Whether you've ridden before or not _does_ make a difference. A passenger on a motorcycle can't just sit there, especially if you want to be in a spy-action-movie chase. The passenger has to shift their position along with the rider in order to balance the bike properly; failure to do so will make it much harder for the rider to control the bike, and would probably lead to a crash in an action movie scenario.

Cole Costie KZfaq is not perfect. I've seen quite a few of my fave creators hit with really bad luck when it comes to KZfaq, to the point where they've obviously been seriously considering leaving the platform completely. They already set up shop on other sites just to get back the revenue they were getting with KZfaq a year or two ago. And these are people with over a million subscribers, who get a lot of ads placed throughout their vids and generally - even if not always completely - follow all their rules. One of them likes to swear a lot but even then he seems to adhere to the rest of what KZfaq wants and gets a shit tonne of ads placed on his vids and even then he's obviously not nearly making the same capacity of money as before the new rules were implemented. KZfaq has really cracked down on content creators and I've heard people from multiple genres and areas talk about this. I have no idea where you're getting the idea that KZfaq has been this benevolent thing in this situation the last couple of years. And I don't even make videos.

Man, I saw this in theatres and we thought it was amazing and entertaining and fun. (I was ready to jump Oscar Isaacs even then he was so sexy/smoldering/hot in that cabin, and I was super upset when he died so early!) When we read the reviews later, we were so confused why there was so much hate. It was a solid film. And after seeing the last Bourne movie with Matt Damon back, hubby was like, "Meh. It was sort of just ok. Nothing to watch it again for." PS- And how could you all not remove a sin for the part where Cross drops down into the crack between two buildings to save her?! That was glorious!

I actually really like this movie. I think Aaron Cross is a much more interesting character than Jason Bourne. I loved his interactions with Oscar Isaac's character in the safehouse; that would have all been mostly stony silence if Jason were the lead. And the movie shows occasional flashes of brilliant writing, like where the CIA assassin posing as a psychiatrist spends five minutes gaslighting the female lead about trauma and suicide, and it turns out the former is only stalling long enough for another assassin to search the house and find the female lead's gun in order to fake said suicide. I also thought the tie-ins for the previous Bourne movies were handled well. Just sad that the only thing they could figure out to drive the plot was a globe-trotting search for super-spy pills. Completely ran out of steam by the end. Still, i they made a sequel following Aaron Cross, I would be pretty happy.
@Arbron
@Arbron 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it felt like they made a cool character but didn't really have a story arc to go on. Bourne was all about finding out who he was, while Cross is just trying to survive. I don't think there's room for a sequel there. And although I'm probably gonna get burned at the stake for this, I actually think Bourne Identity was a perfectly fine open-and-shut story. Bourne's amnesia never struck me as having anything to do with his conditioning - to me, it was simply due to getting shot and nearly drowning. He comes to, has no idea why he's being chased by villains who in turn don't know why he's running, and then he remembers the truth. He retires from the game, having remembered what matters (that his old life was that of a killer), and Conklin gets killed in a surprise reveal while the program is shut down to cover it all up. The end. Supremacy and Ultimatum were great movies and I don't regret their existence, but I think they're like second and third circles drawn around an already-closed circle.
@NCMonefaith
@NCMonefaith 5 жыл бұрын
The movie would've been amazing if Cross actually had a hand to hand fight with the Asian dude at the end. Not that stupid chase stuff that happened at the end, there was no Bourne vs Bourne slug it out fight like in all the other movies. That alone killed this movie.

3:08 -> There's "make sure you have enough guns" and then there's "make sure EVERYONE KNOWS you have enough guns". Best line in this video! Also, about the Chicago scene: when Aaron arrives where his car is, we can see a sign that says it's a monthly parking. That means he could have paid for a whole year in advance and nobody would have had to touch or move his vehicule at all during that time. And if he paid cash and he wasn't followed, not even his own side would have known that his secret stash was there. When he tells Outcome 3 that he was sent to Alaska because he went off the grid for four days, maybe he was in Chicago setting that up.
