What I like about this Transformers movie more than RotF, DotM, and AoE, is that you can actually tell the Autobots and Decepticons apart, they're all unique and have color. While in the new ones they just look like a mish mash of metal and car parts.

Good on you not sinning the opening narration. I know it is pure fanboy anecdotal glee but one of my first memories was hearing Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime when I watched transformers with my dad on Saturday mornings. I really cannot express the joy hearing his voice brought me in theater when I first saw this. I felt like a little kid for the next two hours which really is the state of mind to enjoy this movies. That last sentence sounded more like a burn than it did in my head.

What I've wondered most about in these movies is why the aliens speak in English even when humans aren't around. I would assume that the transformers have their own language. Ofcourse the autobots learned it but why don't they speak in their own language when they're not communicating with humans? Also how does Megatron know English when he just got out of the ice after being frozen in it for millenia?

I really couldn't care less about the acting, writing and coherency of the entire movie. There are. Giant robots. Beating the shit out of each other. That's why I watched them. That's why people still watch them. That's why people will go see Transformers 5. You don't see a Michael Bay movie for any other reason than explosions and metal-on-metal beatdowns.

They can do that from the time they are created. That doesn't immediately mean every single Cybertronian can fix the body they are given. They have to learn that sh*t just like any human would have to learn surgery to fix damaged vocal cords, and that's a tough procedure even if you're doing a transplant. It's the same concept. Repairs are to robots as surgery is to humans.

One of the dumbest things in the film is that Prime tells Sam, that if Prime cannot beat Megatron, then Sam must push the cube into Prime, so Prime dies and destroyes the cube. First off, it's a bit of a gamble to think that Sam would ever get to chance to do that since Prime and Megatron would probable move around all over the place. And second...when the big moment is about to happen...Sam pushes the cube into Megatron and kills him instead...Why didn't Prime think of that? Why the pointless martyr-attitude?

As much as I hate defending this movie, Megatron learned English because he was conscious while stuck in the ice. For pretty much every day since Archibald Witwicky discovered him and reactivated his consciousness, scores of people spoke English around him. It's not the thousands of years he spent frozen, but it is a pretty sizable amount of time.

Another sin: Optimus is voiced by Peter Cullen, but Megatron isn't voiced by Frank Welker. Also it's entirely possible to go through 10 years of school with a person and not know them, even if you did share a few classes.

Thanks for including the question about why the magic cube only makes evil bots. That really bugged me when I watched this movie. Where did any good bots come from? For that matter, where did they learn to talk? They're born just randomly trying to shoot up the place.
