Well, this is one of our favorite Pixar movies ever, but it still has sins.
Please check out David Wong's hilarious new book It's amazing: futuristicviolence.com
Next week: Pretty recent action sins and some older not-recent family-adventure sins.

WALL-E is one of those movies that honestly gets better as you get older because then you can truly appreciate the things you missed when you watched it earlier, especially the visual storytelling, themes, ambition, and authenticity. Not only do I think this is one of the greatest animated movies (my personal favorite animated movie along with Beauty and the Beast) I think this is one of the greatest movies period!

Neither the ship tilting nor the hyperjump should have done anything. The ship is creating artificial gravity, meaning that neither tilting or hyperjump would affect it because the centre of gravity is on the ship, so no matter at what position or speed the ship was going at everything would... ah fuck it. Nobody will read this comment anyway.

Actually the obesity would make sense on a generational vessel. You do have a point though, they wouldn't all be obese. Unless the vessel is equipped to simulate an approximation of Earth's gravity the best you could hope for is keeping muscles active. Without Earth's gravity, something we evolved around, the build up of fat via sugar intake would be rapid and impossible to get rid of. Barring the outliers such as hyper active metabolisms. At this point the hover chairs aren't just a luxury. They're a necessity. And it's highly unlikely that they'd survive a return to Earth because we're talking generations upon generations of living in gravity that isn't Earth's or close enough to it to maintain the physical standards and skeletal strength we have now. They wouldn't be able to stand up let alone walk.

That still doesn’t explain why this one bot is the last functioning Wall-E. The electrical spark doesn't return Wall-E's memory. It's a coincidence. The new motherboard is still scanning Wall-E's flash storage (which must be somewhere else considering the myriad of ribbon cables inside him) and hasn't processed his memory yet. By the time the spark happens, the new motherboard has processed Wall-E's existing memory and adjusts accordingly.

Yeah, at the 7:45 with the space thing, the water inside the plant would freeze or evaporate depending where you are which actually is a main factor to why it needed a drink later but it would still die, sinned for different reasons.

A sin you forgot that’s always bothered me: when the captain asks the computer to define dancing, it replies it’s a series of movements performed by TWO people. Don’t know about you but I’ve seen dances by 1 person and even twenty people...

Nothing, not even a Best Picture winning movie is ever going to beat WALL-E as my all time favorite movie. The best movie I've ever seen. Brilliant sound design, beautiful animation, brilliant writing, a beautiful instrumental score and some of the most memorable and likable characters. And this movie introduced me to Broadway musicals which made me obsessed over Broadway. Thank you Pixar for creating this masterpiece. Since I want to be a film director none of my films even if I really like them are ever going to beat this flawless masterpiece.

Did you know that A113 is the classroom that some pixar animators went to. So they put it in every pixar film ever made.
