Haters like to use the term "manufatured" as an insult to Babymetal.... But having seen the guide, you can see how much hard work these girls from a very young age put in, to get to the stage they are now. Imagine being 12yrs old, learning dance and songs for several different groups, performing on stage, while still going to regular school. Babymetal was actually the least supported of all the sub groups in Sakura Gakuin (jpop/metal was not seen as a money maker as compared to the other more pop oriented groups)... They had to performed with borrowed costumes where other groups were fully funded and played in food courts and side stages. They have earned the hard way every award and accolade that they have gotten, and also have earned the respect of a lot of legends of the Metal community, from Rob Zombie who defended them online from haters, to Rob Halford who performed with then on stage, and touring with Metallica, Red Hot CHili Pepper, and collabing with a slew of other metal groups and artists from Saboton to Bring Me the Horizon. 🤘🦊🤘

Few songs you said you haven't seen: Night of 15 Remix of Headbanger that was the Opener for the Legend of 1997 Concert which was Su-Metals 16th birthday concert; The One - which is dedicated to the fans and is the sister song to Tales of the Destinies. They used to be one very long song but were broken up and Tales of the Destinies has only been played once Live @ Tokyo Dome in front of 55,000 people all with remote controlled neck braces that lit up during specific parts of the concert; Babymetal Death. I would recommend the Legend of 1997 concert for this live version as this was Su-Metal's 16th birthday concert and she was giving up her human form to be resurrected as a metal Goddess to lead the Metal Resistance. The music theater of this particular song was awesome @ the Legend of 1997 concert and should be witnessed by all. Production at 1000%. So glad that you were able to watch this video. I think it is very helpful in understanding Babymetal. Another good video to watch is "The unhelpful guide to Babymetal" which is the same info but with a bit of fun thrown in. Watch that for yourself sometime, no need to do a reaction unless you want to.

The huge crowd with Su's eyes on the screen was Makuhari Messe, a large convention center in Tokyo, where they have performed many times. That show was one of the Legend Metal Galaxy shows. About 20,000 in attendance. The full shows are on youtube and are really spectacular.

Try not to be turned off by the "manufactured" nature of BABYMETAL. I think it has really transcended this beginning and manufactured or not it is a team of super talented people who produce some great entertainment.

Yui signed with Amuse, Inc. in 2007, the same year as Su and Moa. Not 2010. She was a model and performed in a few dramatic roles and several commercials as an Amuse, Inc. artist before joining Sakura Gakuin. The neck brace (or neck corset) is a tribute to Yoshiki, the drummer/pianist/songwriter from the hugely influential Japanese Metal/Visual Kei group X-Japan. He injured his neck from too much extreme headbanging, and had to wear a brace to try and prevent further damage. There are a lot of references to X-Japan in BABYMETAL lyrics, music and stage performances.

Since you were so amazed by the big stage with Su’s eyes on screen, check out “BxMxC” from the Metal Galaxy day 2 show at Makuhari messe (that was the show in the video). “Kingslayer” the collab between BMTH and BM is also worth checking out since it is an absolute banger. As for new infos about BM there isn’t much since they are on a hiatus since they finished the 10 Budokan shows last year. They only news we got are snippets of new songs released exclusively for members of “The Other One” digitally. Currently about 20% are available, so it will certainly take a few more months to get the full picture. Thanks for reacting to this. Babymetal will always find ways to surprise people, their music and live performance or even this guide. Their origin. Some people might criticize Babymetal because the girls didn't know about metal music before Babymetal. But they were 11 and 12, it's extremely common to not know about metal music at that age. Kobametal's passion is in metal music and music in general. He asked the girls if they want to do this hobby project and they've said yes. And they've been saying yes multiple times over the years. Like everyone else who loves Babymetal, I am hoping the current drip-feeding of snippets of instrumental sound bites means that a new album is on it's way. Hopefully they have been holding off until they can release the new album and then tour it worldwide. I would love to see the new album drop on 4 July (Moa's birthday), as Babymetal has at times celebrated the girls' milestones with big events. Maybe moa's birthday would be a good time. Sorry for so many comments. You have actually watched two performances without Yui. The performances of Karate and Kagerou were both after Yui left and I think both feature Momoko-Metal as the third dancer.

Just a small point: you probably didn't read it in time, but BM choreographer Mikiko Mizuno is so good that was appointed as an advisor for the Japanese part of the Rio 2016 Olympic closing ceremony, and was supposed to be in the committee for Tokyo's 2020 until COVID happened. Another tip: Never call Moa small. She is not smol!

The lore did the job of separating Sumetal and the girls from their real life personas. You notice they often talk about themselves in the third person . Sumetal and moametal and Yuimetal do not exist outside the bsbymetal world. A clever way to keep their personal and professional lives separate. Craig: a quick way to tell who is performing. Su-metal always wear the high ponytail. Yui and Moa are wear the twin tails. Most of the time Yui wears a glove on her right hand and Moa wears one on her left. And remember Moa's smile and dimples, plus her bouncy left leg. If the dancer doesn't have twin tails, then it one of the Avengers.
