Very informative for the first time and seasoned ole cruisers. One thing to add, I believe they have on the day before debarkation, a presentation in the theatre on debarkation. Plus, the folks there get first shot at the luggage tags. thanks,

Very good addition, yes there was a presentation given by Lee at Center Stage the last sea day of the cruise.

Great information, very helpful. How early have you been able to debark using express debarkation?

With FTTF and express, i have been of the ship by 730. The problem is you can never depend on that. On our last cruise, someone died, and debarkation did not start until 1030am.

If I do not have to get off the ship quickly I always prefer checked baggage debarkation, but we have used express many times when we have an appointment to catch.

@@emilyabroad No, during debarkation you will not see the porters unless you use one to take your luggage to your car and then yes, you should tip those porters.

Can you self debark even if you have a large bag if you are able to.

Yes, as long as you can carry it yourself.

What deck do we debark on?

That would depend on the cruise ship. Most of the time, it is deck six for excel class and deck three for the smaller ships.
