There is no way to correct all the wrongs of the past. I don't like the fighting. I think either Jews and Palastinians need to get married(every adult gets 1 vote), or divorced. Draw a border, and let's go. See if the Boring company would send a Prufrock 3 to connect Gaza and West Bank with bunches of tunnels. Once you get to 3, you can put utilities in one, and traffic in the other 2. Desalination plant on the mediteranean. You would want a port too. Independent, but no shooting. Needless to say, drawing that border would be contentious, and none of it is worth it if the fighting continues. I have no idea why we(US) give unconditional support to this apartheid situation.

Western governments, that is, esp the US. Most governments of the rest of the world had not be silent. Most people in the rest of the world is aware of this more or less in the details. But most people in the so called free world, free speech world, the western world is not. They look at the world from a height which prevent them from seeing the details. Their 'exceptionalism' blinds them from what most of the rest of the world (world majority actually) see everyday. But most abhorrent is the US geopolitic that supports Israel no matter what. The US government (and perhaps its majority citizens) is the real guilty party.

I've been working hard to educate myself on this complex subject, learning a patchwork of information, from documents, interviews, some very challenging articles; chasing up every comment I've read which mentioned something I hadn't heard about. I knew quite a lot before about events in my lifetime, but have only been able to explore the context since, surprisingly recently, gaining access to the resources on the internet. This is the first time I have heard someone put all these threads together so I can see how they interacted and combined to create the history and the ongoing oppression and conflict which currently exists. I now feel far better prepared to form cohesive responses to challenges to my comments. Thank you so much.

The only way that you could believe that, is if you don’t see Palestinians as humans, capable of seeing & determining what’s good for them. Btw, Israeli officials have admitted that the way they see it, they won over land thru the various wars. But int’l law doesn’t recognize such a thing. I think this is the first Palestinian historian I’ve listened to, the testimony from the horses mouth(see Jabotinsky’s own writing) and Israeli historian(of various political bends), this is so grotesque, and it’s so grotesque that one has to read and watch so much content to just cut through the hasbara

Palestinians deserve to first be treated as humans. And they definitively have the right to self defense and self determination un an armed struggle. Gaza is the largest concentration camp in human history and Hamas fighters have shown higher standards of professionalism than the IDF, which operates under the Hannibal Directive. Details are found in article written by Max Blumenthal and his interview by Chris Hedges.

It "was outstanding" psychotic propaganda, Dont believe this Guy, he is against the Jews, actually The present Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that the greatest single mistake of the Palestinian Arab delegates was to refuse the offer of an independent State which was offered to them in 1947 by the UN, this newly formed State would have been in areas of old Palestine that are now referred to as the disputed territories of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip In the Camp David agreements (in the 1970s)held in the USA, Israel offered the Palestinians a State in these disputed territories. Again in the Oslo accords (in around 1993) the Palestinians were offered an independent state in the disputed territories. Many times over the Israeli Government has offered the Palestinian representatives an Independent State

@@chrislambert9435 You mean the incredibly corrupt Palestenian National Authority? And giving up more land when you have more people is not exactly fair is it? Also Palestinians also have their own terms and the ISRAELIS did not want to accept it.... Both sides have done things that have further stopped this peace process but I believe that Israel does not act in good faith even today.

Excellent video, indeed. Partly thanks to Prof. Khalidi's beyond excellent command of the topic but also Ash's fresh, insightful questions. I can only recommend that she interviews others solid scholars on the matter such as Norman Finkelstein, Illan Pappe, Amira Haas and others. Thank you, you got a new subscriber!
