The grace/breaking period is so important. After 5 rounds my putting went to next level with my Mezz1. Have had two 26 putt rounds in past month. Love it....

Yes absolutely 👍 it is a real thing.. it definitely takes a little bit of time. I still find myself every now and then doing a bad stroke where I try and guide it. But that's golf you're never going to hit every putt or every stroke perfectly..

My wife walked in halfway while I was watching this and immediately said "you are not buying a new putter!!". I said too late.

Purchased the mezz with 1.5 press grip early last summer. Seemed to work best on longer puts till i watched the thumbs out grip technique video from lab golf

I'm waiting to pick mine up. Should be an easy transition coming from centre shaft putters
@JLagGOLF
@JLagGOLF 4 ай бұрын
It will definitely be an easier transition than what I had! You will notice a massive improvement on off centre hits! The thing just doesn't deviate! Lol and you will notice that there is no torque at all.. amazing putters

All this. I have the LAB Link.1 and confidence is huge. BUT, I did notice that I left a lot of putts short initially because there is no face rotation augmenting the putter-swing-momentum; rather since the lab putter blade is "still", you are effectively hitting the ball with the pure momentum of the shaft with no added "flick" for lack of a better word. At least this is what I surmise. Unsure if that's reality but it's a thing.

If you test the putter with exputt, can you please also check the speed against the eye mini. I have one on loan right now and the short putts seem way too short for me. It is hard to get any reads below 3.5 mph for me.
@JLagGOLF
@JLagGOLF 4 ай бұрын
Hey mate from the testing I've done the speed seems better with the eye mini and the HLA seems better with the ExPutt!! Lol the ExPutt I have to hit harder to get the same distance in GS Pro which for me feels like I'm hitting it too hard on a stimp 12 green.

I was surprised you didn’t mention the center shaft. I have always looked for a putter with a center shaft as I felt they were more forgiving on horizontal launch angle. I’ve seen these LAB putters before, but can’t pull the trigger on the price until I have a consistent grip & putting stroke. Ii have a whole lot of tinkering going on right now in my short game. Is there going to be a good price on a used Spider on eBay soon, let me know LOL
@JLagGOLF
@JLagGOLF 4 ай бұрын
That’s the beautiful thing about this putter is that its more forgiving and consistent than a regular putter. This will only help even more if you are struggling with consistency with your stroke. Get stuck in now! Lol invest… the way I rationalise it is I just spent near $1k for my driver and I only use that maximum 14 times a round and realistically it will only stay in the bag for 2-4 years.. If it doesn’t crack lol. The putter I can guarantee will stay in the bag for 5+ years at least and I use it well lets be honest about hopefully 25-30 times a round.

add Will Zalatoris to the pro list Joe :-) Good video. If face control is your weak point (like me) getting a LAB putter is really a no brainer. Also I can chime in on the remote fitting.. It works. I have a Mezz Max since September last year, and now I only need to focus on speed. Reading the green was always my forte, and I spent too many years swearing at yet another ball not going on the line I had in mind, thinking high MOI mallets would cure it - when in fact I was fighting torque all the time. Took me a couple of weeks to adjust (I actually developed my own 'thumbs off' grip style) but now I don't want to go back ever.

I love that mate honestly that comment just resonates with me sooooo much. I love doing the thumb off drill but didn't think about just doing it as my grip completely. Yes I won't be going back.. it's definitely transformed my putting!! Thanks for the comment.

JLag. What is your VLA on putts. 10 feet. 20 feet. 30 feet and 50 feet.
@JLagGOLF
@JLagGOLF Ай бұрын
Hey mate unfortunately the eye mini doesn't give VLA on putts but it's something I'd absolutely love! For putting depending on the green speed or how long the grass is will depend on how much VLA you want. Anywhere from .75 degrees to 2 degrees is ideal. When I had the GC3 I was seeing my VLA around 1 degree which would set me up nicely on quick greens 👍
