Dobrý den, vaše video mě potěšilo. Můj děda odešel z Evropy za prací do USA před rokem 1914 a žil a pracoval Pittsburgh v ocelarnach. V kontaktu jsme byli 1962-1964, v té době jsem byla dítě. Byla to rodina,která žila v ulici Buttler.Po smrti mého otce kontakt už nebyl.Zbylo jen pár fotografií.A tak jsem alespoň nahlédla do vašich videí,hledala jsem starší čtvrté města a hledala duši města Pittsburgh roku 1960,ale i tak jsem viděla krásné město. Přeji vám úspěšný a spokojený život. S pozdravem Eva Erlebachova-Proden Česká republika, Evropa.

Thank you! I always love hearing about history in Pittsburgh and people’s stories. There are a few butler streets around here but I think maybe they lived in the Lawrenceville neighborhood. I will make a video over there too!

The Chinatown Inn has been in the family of Ming Na Wen for generations. Her older brother runs it now.

Grew up in Pittsburgh but left in 1981. Last time I was there was back in 2003 to visit family. When you were in the Cultural District you made no mention of Heinz Hall on Sixth Street and Penn avenue which was the main performing arts center in Pittsburgh when I lived there. Just wondering if it's still in operation. Saw several Broadway plays there back in the day. Bendelum Center which you showed is a block up Penn avenue from Heinz Hall, used to be the old Stanley Theater where I saw Liza Minnelli perform in 1977 on the same stage her mother Judy Garland performed about 20 years early.

Yea sorry I kinda glazed over that area when I was walking through. But yes the Heinz hall is still in use!

I left Pittsburgh in 2000 and lived in Raleigh Durham for 24 years now

I was born and brought up 🆙 in monroeville, Pennsylvania which is a suburb of Pittsburgh. It was a much better city 🏙️ in the 1990s and year 2000. I would’ve went to Pitt University in 2001 if I didn’t move to Raleigh Durham, NC.

Oh wow so you haven’t visited since 2000? You should definitely come visit sometime. I’ve only been here a couple years so far but I hear a lot has changed in the past 10-15 years

I’d say try big shot bobs house of wings. I haven’t tried their cheesesteak specifically but I have had their Tom hardy, soldier, and heart attack sandwiches lol based on those they probably have a decent cheesesteak. Also there is a place by the Pitt campus called k station bbq with a bulgogi cheesesteak And last primanti bros is more of a traditional sandwich shape but probably good too 🤤

Don't forget our terrible Mayor, horrible politicians, homeless encampments, high taxes, shootings, stabbings yeah sure come to downtown Pittsburgh and enjoy all the excitement.
