Hey, I started in Muse Dash, and coming from there I use KKDD, and it feels pretty comfortable, although I still have problems with reading in general. I still can't really play 3+ stars but I have pretty decent acc for the maps I play. I don't know how much it helps me for the stamina, but I'm actually ambidextrous. I really enjoyed seeing a more experienced player ginving tips, seeing how rare it is to see people doing this, thank you a lot.
@MustDrumService3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thank you for such a feedback. What a coincidence, video about Muse Dash is coming in a few days :p And I used kddk there, such a cool game. It is strange tho, taiko is easier to read than muse dash (well, at least if talk about 9+ maps)
@eduardoeugenio88883 жыл бұрын
@@MustDrumService well, I don’t know why, but I just have more trouble translating colors to imputs than I have translating position to position (I make the top row my left hand, and the bottom row my right). That’s why I believe I do a lot better in muse dash than taiko. There I can at least pass any map, and can fc most 9* maps, just having trouble when it comes to rhythm complex ones that are at 11* like ourovoros and chrome vox. Curious to see what you have to say about Muse Dash!

12:45 As someone who used to play KKDD, I would highly advice against using it. Some people will progress faster in the game using KKDD/DDKK, but you will inevitably hit a wall around 4.5 stars. Accuracy is very difficult, and streaming destroys your hands.
@m_11y753 жыл бұрын
not fax, i've been playing ddkk the entire time i've been playing taiko and being able to directly consult a top 250 kddk player, i can clearly say, that playstyle only affects how comfortable certain patterns are. acc and stamina are for you personally to develop, don't blame it on your playstyle.

I disagree, making it to Top 250 as ddkk. Heck, I started with maps around 4.5, albeit they were converts and I retry-spammed them because I only knew 3 anime songs that had maps in osu at that time.

I’ll add on that the No Fail mod really doesn’t do anything because in Taiko you don’t die midway through a song like the other game modes. Sure, you can be at 0HP for most of the song, but you can play right to the very end before you fail.

nice video just somethings about mods: 15:11 HT is does not decrease by 1.5x, it actually decreases by 1.333... times, making it 3/4 times the speed of the no mod map it is different from DT, that increases by 1.5x (3/2 times of the no mod speed) so 100bpm + DT = 150 and 100bpm + HT = 75 14:58 EZ makes the scroll velocity slower and the OD smaller (just because the OD is smaller, it gives less PP) 15:21 HR makes the opposite of EZ, so that's why it gives more PP if there is no changes to OD (for example OD 0 + EZ or OD 10 + HR), then they are not going to give more PP

One thing i'd say is that while most converted maps from standard to taiko are bad, they tend to be lower difficulty but with higher od compared to lower star taiko specific maps, so they can be useful to train accuracy.

I only realised today that I rank in the top 250 for osu taiko in my country, so I've only come to watch this video after four years of playing osu taiko. funny how I self taught my way through it and then when I come here it's all exactly as I've learned it on my own. The advice about alternating between hands instead of just your dominant one was useful, thanks!

I play mania but learning taiko might be pretty fun. Thanks for the beginner guide. For me the hardest part is learning the sideways scrolling. I could just turn my monitor sideways but I think that'd be considered cheating kek. Reading skill issue mainly. Then I gotta quickly learn patterns and learn to recognize it.

my dominant hand is right, i main left... but i do full alt... my full alt has no mains... funny eh.. another tip for calmer people: learn to map good, make your own maps to enjoy and train for.. few years back i uploaded a blue zenith now in graveyard. its property is long streams and simple alternating sequences with a little intermediate spices. many versions, but just play the 'Exalted Level' which also is available from 200 to 280 bpm with 10 bpm difference for each. *there are 2 other diffs which are older but turns out the newer plain exalted diff is best.* grind it a month at your relative level and you'll see a vivid improvement. and when you get to 280 you might be pretty much top 100s or so? i think qroissant missed 30-50 notes few days back on 250 bpm and he is rank 30 high bpm monster from poland

Yes DD-KK is harder on acc and speed, im ambidextrous to some extent left being for strength and agility like shaving, right being for finesse like writing so i thought having one hand for one and other for another will work and now i have dead right hand and left in-accurate, so timing is literally horrible. DD-KK only if you are having one dominant hand.

I set first hand to DK and second to DK, so primarily i play with index fingers, left hand for K and right for D. I do alternate when i have to do like 3+ D in a row or 3+ K in a row, though usually i opt to do 3 right hand spasms instead of alternating :p, i have pretty good accuracy though, able to S some like 3.8* maps and beat like 4.8* maps. 5*+ though it’s goes from not bad to impossible, can’t read SHIT. have no idea how to get over that barrier.
