When you are checking printers, check out the Epson Sublimation printers. They don't have the same issues as converted Epson printers. I have the F170 which is 8.5 wide and up to 47.24 in length. I've let it go for months without issues and it was powered off. it prints great no matter what the surface is. I now have also the F540 and its big. It also can go long time without being used. They do suggest leaving it on when no in use for the same reason as Sawgrass. You can even send print jobs into printer when you aren't at home if this is a concern and its powered on. The cost of ink is so low its not funny and last. Both of these printers use the same in. The main thing I want to say is that just because its an Epson, doesn't mean you'll have all of these issues or some of them. And the software for the F540 is amazing at what it'll all do. I have nothing against Epson, it just wasn't in my budget. I could have bought one but buying the ink would have been very costly going with Sawgrass. There are lots of videos on comparisons besides this on that will help in your decision process. I hope this helps

Sublimation coating can be applied to certain types of mugs, such as ceramic or metal mugs, to make them receptive to sublimation ink. However, not all types of mugs are suitable for sublimation. It's important to check the compatibility of the mug with the sublimation coating and ink before attempting to sublimate on it. Can I sublimate on anything with the spray? Metal, inside soda cans, glass plates, acrylic, stone? Sublimation coating can be used on a wide variety of materials, including metal, glass, acrylic, and stone. However, not all materials will accept sublimation ink. It's important to check the compatibility of the material with the sublimation coating and ink before attempting to sublimate on it. Sublimating on the inside of soda cans is not recommended as the process may cause damage to the can and it is not safe to consume the drinks. If it goes to the number of prints you can get from a set of sublimation inks will depend on several factors, including the size of the images you are printing, the type of material you are printing on, and the quality of the inks. It could be your image is too small a resolution. Some things can't go big.

To print on a full 8.5 x 11 inch paper using a Cricut machine, you will need to adjust the settings in the Cricut Design Space software. Adjust the width and height to 8.5 x 11 inches. Make sure that "Print and Cut" is selected, and then click on the "Continue" button to proceed with the printing process. Hi there! I'm not sure about the compatibility between a Hiipoo ink cartridge, personally, and an Epson F170 printer. It's always best to consult the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer to confirm if the Hiipoo ink cartridge is compatible with the Epson F170 printer. There are a lot of third party ink cartridges available in the market which claims to be compatible with the printer model, but it is not always true, using a third party or non-original ink can damage your printer and sometimes void the warranty. Are there any mention of the Epson in the product reviews? - Dawn 🙂

I wouldn't recommend using Hipoo Ink. it can void the warranty. And be careful when buying the bottles to refill your F170, some of them say compatible with Epson but they aren't Epson. The ICC profiles that Epson has set up may not work with other printers causing more issues. Epson's ink is great quality, no matter what you print it on and it last and is cost effective. When buying a sublimation printers you should compare the cost of everything when resupplying your ink, etc. And for ones like Sawgrass and Epson Sublimation printers, I'd go with what they are sold with and recommeded by the companies for each.
