I love this video! I’m a fourth year student and collaboration between students has helped me so many times! I love how much students support each other academically, you’re really not alone! Also, co-op in some programs like psych is really difficult but in my experience the STEM co-ops are easier to get if you have a good resume and participate in resume critiques. The workload is definitely bulky and a lot but working together, sharing knowledge and studying with friends is the way to go.

I came to Waterloo grad school in mid-90s, having done well in undergrad. Suddenly all the grad student "competition" were other people who had done well .... must be same for undergrads .. you were top in HS, sudden;y everyone else was good in HS, too

GIRI so i got into psych as a science with a 90% average in grade 11 and 87% in grade 12. i'm pretty sure it's easier for you as an arts student because u don't have the prereqs like biology and calculus. so honestly, not that competitive in my opinion

kinda showed that teamwork is needed. It's competitive, but you need study buddies to get anywhere. The competition kinda helps because it's more like we're all trying to make a grade (and collectively failing) so we help one another out.

Matt Pfefferkorn no no no. As a CS student, all I can really say is...everything is a competition. I had a 97 average getting into the courses hardly. I was the dumbest if not one of the dumbest kids in the class. The competition then slowly kills you because all the smart kids want to be with the smart kids. And mainly what I see is these immigrants are the geniuses you cant defeat.

Bit late to the party here but...I did my undergrad at Waterloo. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it. I won't go on at length, but for most people there are better choices.

Wtf is this skewed interview, you haven’t even been to E7 and DC. During exam seasons you can see an ECE wearing the same shirt from Monday to Friday cause he hasn’t got a chance to take a shower. If you wanna some honest review on the competitive nature of Uwatetloo, just checkout how many people kill them selves every year because academic pressure. We are warriors because we are brave enough to challenge this school.
