So if you're ready to learn just about EVERYTHING there is to know about orientation get ready for your brain to explode (jk). But this video might just be the UT orientation Master Class fr.... you'll go into orientation a pro and registration will be LIGHT WORKKKK 😛😛😛

Canvas: canvas.utexas.... (you’ll use this pre-orientation to complete modules, and also during/after orientation)
RIS: utdirect.utexa... (shows any holds that'll prevent you from registering, all need to be cleared besides the transcript, you can still register without them having your transcript yet! and the advising one will be cleared at orientation after you meet with your advisor!)
RMP www.ratemyprof... shows honest reviews/opinions on a professor and their class
List of the Core Curriculum catalog.utexas... (everyone is required to do these, and certain classes satisfy the hours you need for each "core")

What I packed:
Blanket (optional, I didn't use the provided one and personally my room was kind of hot, but other people say theirs was freezing)
Pillow (optional, they provide one)
Pencil/Pen (I used it like once, they have some for you though)
Small backpack to carry around
Hygiene (deodorant, body wash, lotion, skincare etc)
Lip gloss/chapstick
Hand sanitizer
Plastic bags (like Walmart ones, I used them to carry my towels/clothes/products to the bathroom and hung them up)
Toothbrush/Mouthwash/Floss
Sunscreen
Snacks
Gum (also a good way to make friends)
Towels/Wash rags (they don't provide any)
Shower shoes
Shower cap
Water bottle
ID (needed to check in and get your UT ID)
Wallet/Money
Ibuprofen (or any medicine you need)
Day clothes (lots of shorts and short sleeves/tanks)
Night clothes (I just wore old t-shirts and basketball shorts to bed)
Extra clothes (you’re given free shirts so you can also just wear those)
Bonnet
Bobby pins, Hair ties, Brush, Edge brush, and some gel.
Lots of socks
Undies
Ipad
Computer (best device to use to register for classes)
Phone
All needed chargers
Portable charger
Cards! Good way to make friends/pass time.
What I didn't bring/wish I brought/wish I left.
I didn't bring sheets, other people did but I was fine without.
I wish I brought a handheld fan!
Lowkey I could've left the pillow (it was annoying to carry) BUT I did use it... so idk!
I didn't bring many hair products, I don't care much about frizz (I actually prefer it LOL) but if you do then you might want to bring stuff to help with that!
I packed a jacket but ended up not wearing it at all, but if you think you need one bring it!

EXTRA: Not everyone has a communal bathroom they have a joint/personal one instead, some people have a room to themselves, and my roommate did not have the same major/college as me (but that's probably because I’m undeclared, but I believe most people have a roommate that's in their same college)
