4:05 the brush and feed spells aren't actually unlocked through Deek's questline but rather through attending Beasts class

If you’re struggling to get a specific decoration piece like I was, you can do a manual save right before opening a decorations chest and keep launching the save/rerolling chest contents until it gives you what you want. I stubbornly wanted the pumpkins for my RoR so i rerolled for about 20-30mins before I got them. Worth it! (Debatably)

I randomly found a unicorn my first playthrough immediately after getting the bag. Lol was so excited! Just wandering the forest and one stepped out in front of me. I wasn't even paying attention to the icons around me lol

If you switch the game difficulty to “Story Mode” then it lets you catch animals by just opening the nab sack and you won’t have fill the circles to catch them.

Thanks for the video, and the renaming, and very complet as details, amazing job!For adding a magical trade on the loom, you have to press triangle on ps5, i mentioned because it’s took me a while to realise to complete Deek quest

The animal care spells don't come from Deek's questline, they come from your care of magical creatures quest slightly earlier in the main storyline quests.

Playing on a PS4 (not sure if it works on other consoles) some of the chests can respawn if you ask Deek to change the ambience of the main room then reload the auto save. Chest location and vivarium will be random - just search them all again. Only worth doing if you have already explored the whole game map, done every cave and still have few items left to find. 😺

After completing some challenges and collectibles, my RoR upgraded the room accessed by the stairway going down to the left when spawning in. It expanded into a larger room.

@@Invinit works especially if you want to put a potion station,a potting station,an enchanted loom and a gear indentifier In that area you have room to do so. Or you could do like a statue room down there

A warning: don't put your feeder too close to the entrance. In my experience if you do, it won't spawn it in when you enter the room. You can't delete it or move it after, but it still counts as placed in the room so you can't make another. And if you save and restart you always load in back at the entrance, so can't fix it by saving in the back of the room and trying to get it to spawn that way

@Aj Kurosaki I haven't unfortunately. I tried spamming the delete spell and that didn't work. But i also haven't had a day off since the game released, so haven't had a whole lot of time to try. If i do figure out something I'll post it here. If you figure something out let me know please.

The one part that I wanted to get from your video that I did not see, was how to open up more slots for beasts? Right now I have four with two Nyfler’s in my suitcase When I try and release them to the vivarium, it tells me that I have to sell them to open spots up on that board and it’s only letting me have 4 animals

I think this game would be perfect with dlc quiddich multiplayer matches. Like the only parts of the game you can play with friends would be mini games.

@lokirathehubter:quidditch might be a bit too hard to do though flying itself is already hard enough with Imelda’s flying races and it would be even harder to fly on a broom and play quidditch because the devs would make quidditch super hard since we’d have to not get seriously hurt while playing quidditch the reason the game banned quidditch is because of people cheating and because of safety reasons

so there's a limit of how much we can keep/breed? so does it mean we had to alternate which we wish to breed and keep? since there's likely more beast ingredients to store? i assume we have to sell and then recapture new ones and harvest their ingredients and rinse and repeat for any other beasts we require when upgrading?

Every other video I've seen so far don't use any assist or they focus on levioso but arresto momentum is far more effective especially if you pop a supreme potion first for the unicorns and thestrals.

@noahsouthwick:7359:you do Like 3 of each of the 4 different kinds of beasts in one vivarium so you do 3 thestrals,3 toads, and you choose two other type of beasts to do three of to fill up all but one of the spots. The vivariums can only hold like 12 beasts total by 4 different kinds of beasts.hence why we have to sell extra beasts to Ellie peck in the brood and peck in hogsmeade.

I like to use "Accio" to draw them as close as I can to myself and then hit them with a freeze spell then whip out the nab-sack. Was able to capture a unicorn in one try with that method. Does aresto momentum work longer than the freeze?

@ckboy221:arresto should work a bit better since it gives you more time to catch the animal/magical creature since the glacius spell might not give you that much time to rescue the creatures and the official game guide tells you to use arresto on the unicorns and most likely the mooncalfs and the kneazles since they are known for running off from you if they sense your presence. Same with the thestrals you may Need to freeze those using arresto as well. Plus arresto gives you more than enough to pull out the nab sack and rescue the creatures before the spell wears off

The harder beasts like unicorns, just switch to story mode before trying to capture them. You'll be able to catch them in an instant, and you can always change back to your previous difficulty.

@TheNightcorelover4205 actually, on any mode but easy and story, it will take 7 capture things. Glacius isn't infinite, it has a time limit.

@@milahjensenno it won’t not if you use arresto on them first while being under the disillusionment spell the official game guide tells you to Go under the disillusionment spell and even though they can sense your presence you just use arresto on them before they run off the same way you use arresto on the mooncalfs and kneazles. you don’t just approach the mooncalfs,unicorns and kneazles hoping to catch one hoping it won’t run off the unicorns only run because they can sense your presence and they think you are poacher the same way garnuffs quest tells you to make sure to use arresto on Biscuit the mooncalf you use arresto on the unicorns the official game guide says make sure to arresto first before rescuing a unicorn since arresto is needed since the unicorns are nervous especially Hazel who got hurt last time when she saved Betty’s life you can do less than 7 tries if you use arresto on the unicorns first

As a dedicated Assassins Creed player my first and foremost thing to do was to abuse the hell out of the active cloaking spell. It also works when "rescuing" animals. Unicorns too.

Freezing them too, helps with catching the more difficult ones.

I don't think there is any limitations on which species of beasts can be placed together but I also did the thestrals and unicorns together, I like to think they get along too!

@@InvinI would think they would give a sign if they didn’t get a long I have thestrals,unicorns and hippogriffs together aka beasts that are similar in the Harry Potter world similar to a horse and the hippogriffs,thestrals&unicorns all get along also I just needed a safe place for the hippogriffs,thestrals and unicorns and I only had one vivarium left it was either putting them in the 4th vivarium or keeping them in the nab sack

I had Nifflers and Hippogriffs living together and the Nifflers always hissed. Afterwards. I read online that they are in fact scared of Hippogriffs, Graphorn and other big beasts. It didn't particularly change the game play but I think it's cool that they incorporated this "lore" into it

@@clarimm6675that’s about all the nifflers do though because they don’t like hippogriffs but I have my unicorns and thestrals together and my unicorns go to sleep in the swamp along with the toads,diricawls mainly because a lot of the animals like alot of the vivariums Vivariums or certain vivariums and I have alot of the animals away from enemy ones the only ones I have together are fwoopers and hippogriffs since the game doesn’t really tell you who to place where and a lot of the animals like the same vivariums as each other my fwoopers and Phoenix don’t even have a problem being in the same area neither do my another ones. The only thing that happens is the animals will have a tiny argument if they do have a problem but they won’t harm each other. Hazel just layed down in the swamp and i have my unicorns in there with thestrals,toads and diricawls. And even then there’s only 4 vivariums so it’s hard to figure out who to place where since a lot of the animals like all 4 vivariums. The game doesn’t exactly tell us who to put where or really how to set up the vivariums and Everyone has different opinions of who to place where and I read that thestrals,toads and unicorns all go in the swamp but the game doesn’t really give us an exact way to set up the vivariums.

@@Invinplus not to mention the game doesn’t exactly tell us how to set the Vivariums the worst thing that happens is the animals get into an argument and a lot of them like all 4 Vivariums but the game doesn’t exactly tells us who to put where. Since there’s only an ideal set up from someone else aka not a person who made the game. And my animals haven’t once had problems with each other so I don’t think there’s really a preferred area since the unicorns and hippogriffs like all 4 Vivariums lol and a lot of my animals ignore each other when they are in the same area as an enemy. My fwoopers and Phoenix don’t even notice each other neither do my unicorns and thestrals and whoever else I have placed in the other vivariums lol. The only thing that happens is a small argument where the animals won’t hurt each other but at the same time the game doesn’t exactly tell us how to set up the Vivariums for all 4/4 distinct animal species. So I think it depends on how much we need materials from certain beasts since we can switch them out with other animals to fill up all 4 spots and I have like 6 thestrals,2 diricawls,2 unicorns and 2 toads in the swamp vivarium and my unicorns and thestrals don’t even have a problem with each other at least not that I’ve noticed same goes for the other ones. If the devs had a preferred set up for us I would think they would tell us.

I am confused about how the materials gained from the beasts work. I captured two hippogryphs but I was only able to gain materials from one and they both went on CD. Is there really any reason to have more than 1 of a species in the vivarium if you can only gain materials from one at a time or do you gain materials equal to the number of beasts you have of that one species?

Maybe a game bug as you should be able to collect each beasts materials individually, ideally you wouldnt want to have any duplicate beast species in different vivariums for example hippogryphs in 2 different areas as eventually you will need most beast materials for upgrades so having a variety is definitely a must!

@FizzedAye:deeks shows you how to use the breeding pens so I think you med to wait for deeks to tell you about breeding beasts since you need thestrals to breed first

It's 4 different species. You can fill the slots but can only get max 4 different styles of animals per vivavium.

@@danielandersson5345:yes but the vivariums only hold 12 beasts total so you can only do like 2 or 3 of each of the four beasts you want in the 4 vivariums you can’t do more than 12 beasts in the 4 vivariums so the other animals /beasts have to be rehomed and given to Ellie in the brood and peck in hogsmeade

Hmm I want more than 4 species in the vivarium. I haven't received the second and third vivariums. When do I get those??? Or, can we copy/conjure another vivarium from the first one? That's really annoying to only allow 4 species.

@vaskylark:you can get 3 more vivariums by doing 3 more quests for deek one quest he has you find out what happened to his elf friend tobbs, one vivarium he has you rescue a male thestral and a female thestral for breeding, and then I can’t remember what the 4th quest is I think one is catching the legendary Phoenix at Phoenix mountain cave on the map. It’s just that each vivarium only holds 4 different species because we need room for the offspring/babies of the rare species we breed and the room grows to Our conjuration needs aka as we find more stuff but to get the other 3 vivariums you just need to do 3 extra quests for deeks when he needs your help

@MonkeyDLouie999:all of them are useful there’s only 13 beasts you need niffler fur,Phoenix feathers(you only get one legendary Phoenix though),mooncalf fur,fwooper feathers, hippogriff feathers, toad warts, puffskein furs,kneazle fur, unicorn hair thestral hair, and graphorn horn,diricawl feathers you get like 2 graphorns and one legendary Phoenix , and 2-3 of the thestrals,2-3 hippogriffs,2-3 diricawl,2-3, kneazles,2-3 fwoopers,2-3 jobberknolls, 2-3 unicorns,2-3 nifflers,2-3 puffskeins,2-3 giant purple toads and 2-3 mooncalfs and that’s it the vivariums only hold 12 beasts each by 4 different kinds of beasts You can do like 2 or 3 moon calfs -2 or 3 jobberknolls in one vivarium

Unless you get the game breaking glitch following the goblin to the witches tome at which point your game is stuck unless you want to restart everything. It’s now been over 11 months and they still have not fixed it except if you play on Nintendo switch. 🤬🤬

Nope mainly just a collectible thing. I believe a shiny male has a unique color then the regular males and same goes with the females

They do come in unique colours when rare but other than that it is mainly for collectables I believe.

You can make gallions easier by selling clothing , animals and opening the eyeball chests with your invisible spell .

They unlock on their own as you progress in the story.

@richardsimon8270:yes the other 3 vivariums are a part of a quest you get 4 vivariums by doing 4 different quests for deek the hogwarts house elf who helps us figure out what to do in the room requirement for one vivarium you have to figure out what happened to deek’s elf friend Tobbs,for the dark vivarium you have to catch a female and a male thestral…etc… the room of requirement grows to accommodate your conjurations as you find more conjurations aka as you become more self sufficient. You’ll get more as your collection grows the room of requirement grows to accommodate your needs so you get 3 more vivariums after the first one by doing 3 more quests for deek the hogwarts house elf

The beast feeders are weird and possibly bugged... they don't actually keep beasts fed at all... they only start the process when you first walk into the vivarium... I end up having to feed most of them manually anyway...

@reynatejeda3409:they don’t follow you but you can fly/ride on highwing after the high keep quest after you rescue her and you can ride on lord of the shore after you fight and rescue lord of the shore since highwing and lord of the shore are your extra 2 mounts /riding methods after the 13 brooms

@MrSpRiNtZ:you get the remaining 3 vivariums from keeping up quests for deek one quest he asks you to find out what happened to his elf friend Tobbs(you won’t like the answer to that one and you have to come back with bad news for deek),the third one you have to rescue a female thestral and a male thestral to breed,the fourth one you rescue the legendary Phoenix. The room of requirement accomendates itself to you and your needs Aka as you get more creatures that you don’t have out of the 13 creatures in the game. The other 3 vivariums require storyline progression aka doing 3 extra quests for deek the hogwarts house elf after you get the first vivarium

I assumed the toybox worked in the same way as the feeder in the sense that you wouldn't need to manually brush them if you have it conjured. Is that not the case?

Hence why it’s a toy box each beast has a favorite toy the graphorns favorite toy is the dark wizard dummy from the grassland vivarium, hippogriffs favorite toy is the same toy as the graphorns favorite toy ,the giant purple toads and diricawls favorite toy is the tumbleweed from the chest in the swamp vivarium,the fwoopers and jobberknolls favorite toy is the quaffleball from the swamp vivarium chest,kneazles favorite toy is the yarn ball from the chest in the grasslands vivarium,nifflers favorite toy is the gold ball from the swamp vivarium chest,Phoenix favorite toy is also the quaffle ball, mooncalfs favorite toy is the moon ball from the chest in the swamp vivarium,puffskeins like/love the bogey ball from the chest in the swamp vivarium,thestrals love the bone ball from the swamp vivarium chest,unicorns love the bubble toy from the grasslands vivarium chest And the toy box spell craft conjuration is only 500 gold it ain’t that much.

Are you sure you haven't already put the max number of species of the room can hold? It can hold up to four different ones.

@@crimsonclover1588if you have 4 different species you can’t do more than 4 like if you have 4 bird species together you can’t do more than that and the extra spaces would be for the babies/offsprings. The 4 vivariums can only hold 4 species with 12 animals overall.

As long as it is not tab-targeting combat I think an mmo in this universe could function however I am skeptical about it being hogwarts focused, then hogwarts would have to have the function of "faction capital" like in other MMOs. A hub for crafting, trading, class quest stuff (lessons) etc. Raids and dungeons are easily made with beasts and monsters like trolls, and Dark mages. PvP would be another matter that would be difficult to address with this game's combat style and the lore of the game since nobody I know of thinks perma CC is any fun. however class variety and roles would be a difficult issue to tackle without some form of creative freedom. The game won't be able to make use of "the holy trinity" (DPS, tank, healer) style since the lore doesn't really allow for that. Then comes the issue of race. Would the only playable race be human since those are the only ones able to be wizards? An MMO with just one race is kinda.. meh but I'm not sure how they would implement other races in the game.

They “grow up” but they stay adolescent they never truly evolve to full adult versions . Plus if you didn’t know yet only one phoenix and one Lord of the Shore no way to bread either of those two beasts unfortunately. Been playing for over a year and still the beasts are only fully grown adolescent … wish l could take a screenshot and post a pic message but meh lol. Hope you have a blast ! This game pulled me out of some dark times 🫶🏼

My bad on lord of the shore , I just found out that after you complete the mission where you capture the lord of the shore , you can then return to the same area and catch more Graphornes 😜😜😜 even a *shiny is available at times !

@@Haplessly:because the first original spot for the graphorn later on turns into a den or was originally a den there’s just a chance there’s a small number of graphorns left since graphorns are basically extinct to an extent since we can get at least two graphorns just not at the same time as each other so there is a chance we can at least breed a graphorn if there’s a female graphorn or we can give lord of the shore a buddy so he’s not lonely in the vivarium. Like with the toads we can at least get 2 or 3 toads at a time depending on the giant purple toads den. There’s just not a thousand graphorns left so the graphorns must be protected The Phoenix is only one because it’s most likely a legendary Phoenix the only one of its kind.

@@johnc8209I think they are considering a part 2 for the game or something like that since they are considering doing /adding more quests to the game so a part 2 of the game is possible. The only thing they really need to do other than to add more quests is give us a better Vivarium set up since no one really knows who to put where for the beasts while also giving us more than 12 spaces for beasts.

@Mr.Lorenzo_Rhino: no you can you would just need a female or a Male of the same species with the star also with a star above its head someone bred a shiny hippogriff. The breeding only works if you have a male and a female in the vivarium. You obviously can’t breed with a normal non shiny and a shiny one. It would have it be both shiny.

Just play on story mode and they go straight in the bag. This isn’t elden ring. I like immersion so story mode is where it’s at. My next save will be a Slytherin on hard but this first play through is all about being immersed for me.
