It's really hard to find 1st or 2nd gen Swift with Diesel engine, because The diesel Swift is already very driven, more than 1.5L km. Used a lot

Hi just wanted to share my experience of buying a swift. Last year i went on a hunt to buy a swift with just a budget of 2L, i was looking for a 2007-09 model(with G13B engine). after 2-3 months of looking, i found this 2012 Swift(K12) VXI at a very good deal for a 2.5L that too with showroom track record and just 34k kms it had factory set of tires and everything the car ticked every box but it had a issue of rusting on doors. with a very heavy heart and advices i decided to go for it. The estimates i got for changing doors were 12k for panels and 10k for paint (I'm thinking to get it all painted in a different color). 1 year of ownership and im shocked to see how it performs even now. It easily pulls up to 130kmph!(it can go further too🙃) and the service spare parts are cheap and easy to source. I havent tested the mileage yet but its good as i just fill it once a month and it goes above 400-450kms before the guage is near to Empty. aftermarket support is fantastic. Its truly a good beginner car imo. Im not a big fan of brakes though. The interior of this model doesnt feel outdated as such its modern and classic also it has ample space inside compared to other generations.

If the outer diameter of the tyre is changed due to larger rims the speedometer and odometer readings may change also.

I believe the auto was only available on the dzire, but I might be wrong. In any case it was the 4-speed torque converter which is known to be super reliable.

Don't take unsafe cars even as a freebie. Just learned about an accident where the driver's legs bone (femur) came out tearing flesh. The vehicle was crossing at a slow pace to avoid reversing truck and due to night condition it struck with a tree.
