If I save before catching a shiny and fail to catch it, can I restart the game and try again?

Same here. At first when it got revealed, the frames looked bad in the trailer and wasn't hyped, but now seeing videos about it has gotten me very excited

Last time I was hyped for pokemon was Pokemon Black and White

Also coming back later to interact with villagers that you gave a pokemon to and the pokemon evolves. So far two pokemon I provided to villagers have done this. It's nice to see that.

Why would I want to max level my pokemon? There is no reason in this game for that, there is no trainers to battle or an elite 4....

Oh my god same- I’m always spending so much more time just wandering around than I do just playing through the main story- it took me a few days (if not a couple weeks) to finish Pokémon X because of the amount of exploring or shopping around I was doing on the side It’s such a fun thing to do regardless of how big the location a game is set in or how compelling the story is. Even in games like BOTW or Genshin, I’m just spending most of my time climbing mountains and wandering through forests… just because. It’s one of the main reasons I look forward to each new generation of Pokémon- it gives me yet another region I can explore and remember every minute little unimportant location in and really take my time experiencing like I live there or something. I hope they up their game when it comes to that aspect- the amount of pure joy I get just when finding a hidden grotto or a secret cave or dungeon or a completely optional route (or even town) is unparalleled. Hopefully there’s a lot of that in the next upcoming games.

I also play games **super** slowly; after one hundred hours of play time on Shining Pearl, I only had 3 Badges, but I'd found 145 different statue variants from 477 digging sessions in the Grand Underground. At that point I noticed my Trainer Card had turned blue and there was a star on it, but I'm not sure exactly what triggered that...

Nice! Last night I got jumpscared by a shiny Luxray that was at least 15 levels higher than my party but I mowed through with pokéballs and caught it 😂

The new battle system does provide a sort of balancer that makes certain pokemon viable where they weren’t in other games. Since a speedster can’t just sweep your team because you get a turn to fight back, even slow but powerful pokemon have to be watched out for.

I really recommend just doing the noble for more warp points. The first noble is only lvl 18,

Reminds me of why I really enjoyed Horizon Zero Dawn when it released...I spent so much time just wandering and exploring to the point I spent days if not weeks before touching any real 'main story' progression. And I get to do it all over again next month with Forbidden West

I recommend you to go till the end before going sidequest, a lot of then need you to got far on the story.

Me on Pokemon let's go. I had 3 badges and ended up being lvl 95-97 for my whole team before Erica... Shinies I tell you...

It's 1:4096 but if you have perfect.pokedex entries and find them during the times they gather up in groups u have a way higher chance like 1:200

@@shadow99917 All I said was that I wanted to challenge them earlier. Adrive said that he felt he waited too long to challenge a lot of them. Obviously, it's a Pokemon game, so there are only so many ways to go about whittling down a higher level Pokemon, especially before you've caught many Pokemon, and in a single battle where more wild Pokemon have the opportunity to join in. Also, I don't intend to be able to catch them, since there are certain milestones you have to reach before you're allowed to catch Pokemon of certain levels. I just want to see to what extent the game allows you to take on higher level enemies, especially given the new move system.

Yea I was level 15 and fought a 30 giant Paras he destroyed my team.

If monster hunter taught me anything, It is to be a sneaky Boi. Use all of your items. Then run like hell when things hit the fan. If you get lucky? Nice. If not. Back to grinding for items. Rinse, and repeat.

@@js8430 Sadly no, I've almost 100% it other than actually fighting Ganon and I spend most of my time in the game collecting resources, hunting stuff, and roaming around haha

Depends, if you're trying to complete some pre-evolution pokedex entries then go ahead and wait but it's not really a big deal if you evolve and then "miss out" on pre-evol entries, you can just catch a new one. Catching lots of pokemon is a feature

The only reason I can think is if you’re weird like me and want to bond with a new team of six Pokémon like you did the first time around.

I'd say the replay value is fairly high for a pokémon game. The challenge runs on this game will definitely be the most fun

@@lucaxtshotting2378 no games have a randomizer until they are modded. The game will most definitely get mods, but it sounds to me like you are really looking for anything to get upset over. I'm on my second playthrough now since I'm trying to 100% the entire game from the start.

I would imagine it's the same as most of the other games, by winning battles, using items on it, etc

I got one by accident, as long as you have an eevee with a fairy type move, use it to battle, gather items with it, take it out of it’s ball and speak with it, make sure it doesn’t faint in battle, and you can see next to the pasture with bellamy how your friendship is going with it😁

if any mon is this game, all the line is in. Thats why there is a lot of pokemons from 2nd and 1st gen in this game but not much from 3rd and 5th. because 4th gen gave evolutions to a lot of mons in 1st and 2nd gen.
