I currently have one sitting in an s197 mustang. It's just for mock up. Still gotta figure out which transmission I was use. And whether I wanna put the ITB on or just sell it and get a better intake. I'm glad u mentioned the pan because I had to remove the pan to get it to set in there. I'll probably make a video series, but it's goin on the back burner for a couple months. I also think a cowl hood will fix my clearance issue

Great video, Calvin! Appreciate you taking the time on top of everything else, to walk us through it. One point of clarification. While the 2002-2005 factory ECUs are very limited, the 2006 and 2007 P12 is setup for 2 bar out of the gate, including spark and fuel. The E67 used in 2008 and 2009 is even more flexible with scaleable axis on the timing tables. Still, neither will ever be as flexible as MS.
@Calvin-Nelson
@Calvin-Nelson 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I found out that I was wrong on the 06-07 ECUs, but I am pretty sure they do not allow rescaling of the fuel and spark table on the 6 cylinder OS in the 08-09.

I have heard that the 02 engines had issues that were specific to 02. They are very similar to the 2003-2005 engines though. We are currently running an 04 engine in the Stude and recently it went 9s which puts it at around 500whp. We plan to run an 02 in the Fiat, to see if it has issues or not. So to answer question, probably will take the power but I don't know of anyone that has tried.

GM has a very tough version of the 4L60e for the Trailblazer SS and Corvette. You can buy the parts or have a shop upgrade the regular version or put race ready parts instead. That car really goes! Someone [who has the talent; not me!] needs to do a trans adapter to give the Atlas ["Why you keep calling Atlas 'Vortec' Quimosabe?"] the Slant-6 treatment, which would at least address some of the engine height issue...
@Calvin-Nelson
@Calvin-Nelson 3 ай бұрын
Atlas refers to the engine family (4, 5, and 6), not the engine. It would be like me calling the engine a Chevrolet Engine instead of being specific and calling it a Vortec 4200.

you'll have to make motor mounts, and probably an oil pan. You should have enough hood clearance to use the stock intake. You just need to get an engine and start mocking it up. The stock front sump may fit as is.
