It's a good serie for those who doesn't know the comic or care about changing the original look and behaviour of the characters, It's just another netflix-washed show. For me, the comic helped me to scape from reality and the current politic problems we have and when I saw the Netflix's adaptation, in every chapter i returned to reality because of the emphasis the producers give to diversity and the actual political or social problems we are having. The comic is awesome and instead of copy-paste it, hurts to see the forced inclusion and messing around with the original characters, both in image and personality that for me, cut the immersion a few or many times per episode.

@@pendejaciones I HATE what they did to one of .y favorite comic books characters EVER. Death. I collected EVERYTHING she appeared in! Galleries, I have t shirts I still wear. Posters, and an action figure that I paid too much for. And then they just up and changed her. And worst of all, the biggest crime, they took her curl from under her eye. I am saddened but this change to my little goth Didi. I have to wonder how Cinnamon Hadley, whom Death was modeled after would feel about it. Been waiting to see an adaptation of her for years. And they give me, a fan of 28 years, this.

I actually love Death in this adaptation the casting throughout has been fantastic imo

The show is woke trash. When an artist changes his vision to fit societal standards, that person is no longer an artist but a sellout. And Gaiman sold out TWICE now with that waste of time American Gods as well as this woke dumpster fire. Anything else produced or fashioned around this sellouts work will not get another chance to disappoint me as both did before. He now gets put on the "pay no mind" list, right there under Kevin Smith..

Gaiman has always been careful about his attempts to produce his work.. After the debacle of season 2 & 3 American Gods, I am not surprised he has taken a hands on approach.

me too! i’m still watching it everyday. i even went to the library and checked out the first volume of the series. a lot of the comic was adapted word for word and i understand and appreciate the stuff they had to cut out or update. IF I DON’T GET SEASON TWO I WILL RIOT

Johanna Constantine replaced John in this series, due to rights issues for John character use on screen.

@@doctorslayer2106 more likely a descendant. John Constantine was around in the 70's to 90's. If this is set in modern times she would be daughter, or even grandaughter.

DC won't let them use Constantine and I doubt they'd also let them to use Etrigan.

Honestly, when you read the original canon, Dream is somewhat guilty to his past actions and accepted death as his last deal with the Kindly Ones. One of the rules of those supernatural beings including the endless is that they should not kill someone by their own bloodline or any kin. As we all know, Dream has a self centered personality even to the point that some people hated him including his sibling Desire. History has been told that he had a child named Orpheus with Calliope. Orpheus was a gifted man with that an oracle ability. After he answered his father's request of revealing where Destruction was, in exchange, he asks a boon of his father Dream to kill him. During that course, Dream started his journey with his younger sibling Delirium in search for their brother Destruction who abandoned his role including his realm. After that, he granted his son's request. Dream was guilty to what he had done to the point it affected his mental state. The blood droplets on Dream's hands struck the ground, creating a new flower where they fell. So fast forward what triggered about this incident why Dream reached his death, it only happened when this woman who bore a child within the Dreaming Realm and that Dream said it belonged to him, and he would one day come to claim it. When that day comes, the baby was born and was named Daniel Hall. This boy was missing one day and his mother couldn't find him so she reminded herself what happened in the dreaming, and suspected none other Dream who could stole her child away. She called the attention of the Kindly Ones and unfortunately they couldn't be stop until the request or the mission was accomplished. When the mother knew that her baby Daniel was being treated nicely in the Dreaming, he begged to the Kindly Ones not to kill Dream. While Dream already knew that this gonna happened sooner or later [why? because of what Destiny predicted and what Delirium told so] he came back to the Dreaming and couldn't imagine that his dreams was being murdered by the Kindly ones. Matthew then insisted on accompanying him to the borders of Nightmare where Dream would make his stand against the Kindly Ones, but when they arrived Dream made Matthew leave. Death then responded to this point of the last days of Dream when Morpheus lost all hope and that he'd let things go so far because he wanted to abandon his role as Dream of the Endless, but couldn't leave his post/realm like what Destruction did, so he decided to sacrifice himself and save the Dreaming. The Kindly Ones arrived, but Dream would not fight them, he allowed them to destroy him in order to save the Dreaming, and Death took Dream. Dream's role in the Endless was assumed by Daniel. P.S. and oh before Dream and Matthew went to the borders of the Nightmare, Dream gave Daniel the eagle dream stone as a symbol and sign that when Dream was finally destroyed, he will take his place as the new Dream of the Endless. The Last Volume [Ending] of the series tells the Wake of Dream accompanied by his siblings and friends. Dream's death caused a reality storm that rippled across time and space. The Endless collected the book of ritual and Dream's cerements from Litharge [Litharge is the place where they grant the last wishes of the dead and guide their spirits to their destinations], then held a wake in the Dreaming. Dream's body was laid out and each member of the Endless, and selected friends of Dream, made speeches. This Masterpiece will always above now against the DC comics ever produced for me. It has a such a meaningful yet learning experience when you get the thought of every characters. P.S. So, to answer your question ~ it's bittersweet ending. It's been told that Daniel Hall as we all know is the successor of Morpheus. He became the new Dream Lord after Morpheus gave up his existence against the Kindly Ones. Daniel then absorbed Dream's very essence and transformed into the entity. Daniel possesses all of Morpheus' memories, and the two are in fact the same being, is a different "point of view" than Morpheus was. He is noticeably kinder and more open the Morpheus was.

Honestly you should start reading the series! I don't like piracy much but its very easy to find copies online you can read on your phone or computer. It's worth it.

@@niteowlx5178 ok first of all: literally never said that they should read the entire thing before the show comes out. Secondly: it's totally possible to read all of it. It's a graphic novel. It's much faster reading than actual books. I read the entirely over 2 days

Lucifer isn’t really change and they wont fight Dc/WB for ‘John Constantine’ when its so much easier to just change a bit of character.
