Got to say that X-Men has been my favorite franchise of Marvel. I grew up with it, I search videos about them, and learned so much. Each character has their own story, development and impact. But, the group as a whole, is amazing. Defending the people who persecute you is an impactful thing. Magneto vs Prof.X ideologies of handling the theme of racism, discrimination, segregation, and seriousness of other topics has been handled perfectly through the animation. Even though I'm a huge fan, I watched the movies multiple times yet they weren't great. They weren't impactful like I wanted them to be. But, I'm at a struggle... I don't know how the reboot will be in Marvel's hands. It does worry me but I'm hopeful!!!!! I hope some of the secondary characters get a spotlight. It's a team! It's NOT only Wolverine and I loved how each member would bring something awesome to the team. Let's hope Marvel does it correctly. 🙌🏻

At first I felt like this was not a good fit, but then I rewatched how he portrayed Namor's mutant abilities and did not hold back on his powers ... I like this now. The way he flew, dodging and stepping up through the air ... I see Storm's powerset kicking in with his "slo-mo" action like the Black Panther bridge scene. And to be honest, his Erik Killmonger is still one of my top 6 favorite characters introduced to the MCU thus far.

Am I the only one who doesn't want the supposed mutant saga to kick off with X-men? I'd love to see them treat this more like Phase 1 and introduce us to the individuals first. Give us a handful of movies/shows introducing one or two classic X-men facing off with one or two classic X-men villains to let us get to know these characters just like Avengers. It's a proven formula and could help keep it going after what is sure to be a wild and possibly over-saturated ride through the end of the multiverse saga. Imagine a Storm origin, a Rogue origin, a Gambit origin, a Jean and Scott origin that also introduces us to the school. We throw characters like Wolverine and Magneto and Professor X each into at least two of the origin movies since most people don't need a Wolverine/Magneto/Xavier origin (they can have mini origins via exposition in the other films/shows they appear in). Building the X-men universe with character driven stories making us love them and upping the stakes every time there's a team-up for an X-men movie every 3 or 4 years with a big world-ending threat. There just being an X-men movie before meeting the new actors/characters is just kinda how X-men was almost always done in the movies and animation and we end up with half-baked characters we don't care much about in most of the roles. They just already exist. I'd love to see some real time dedicated to the individuals and then have "X-men" movies be the bigger Avengers style event of each Phase with a big one at the end of the saga (Phase 9?).

Can't wait to see the direction they take the X-Men. Also, think the directorial rumors for X-Men, Spidey 4 and the rest sound great. I haven't hated as much of Phase 4 as a lot of folks, but I still think those directors would help turn the tide.

97 has been a showcase of "fine, i'll do it myself." Beau Demayo's writing is exemplary. Ryan Coogler and Beau Demayo would be a home run for the X-Men properties moving forward. Interchangeably, I think Destin Daniel Cretton would be fawesome. James Wan and/or Justin Lin could make for some interesting conversation as well.

I’m all for Ryan Coogler doing X-Men! I think he would do the franchise kick off so much justice, he made the absolute best of Black Panther 2 considering Chadwick’s passing, so I hope he does get it, and it’d be perfect opportunity to tie in Storm with Black Panther

Either don’t include Jean Grey (which is unlikely) or spend an entire Phase covering her very slowly and gradually becoming Phoenix. The only reason Jean became interesting as a character is her association to Phoenix, either as her original power evolved by radiation like the original comics, or the Phoenix Force, as now canonised by the Dark Phoenix retcon. Either way, it seems the only thing interesting about her is Phoenix. So they may as well do it rather than leave us disappointed. Just do it properly and give it the justice and splendour it deserves.

I think Marvel needs the Russo's for Secret Wars. I suspect they would want another warm-up movie to get a feel of the current batch of heroes to do the best they can for Secret Wars. Marvel should book them and pay them what they want. Their return is almost as big a announcement as if Chris Evens and/or RDJ came back. Also Zack Snyder to direct a marvel movie would be a great idea

Interesting choice i think he could do really well with xmen. And nows the right time to really let the xmen take the stage theres been so much hinting building up and showing off little snips of characters here and there
