FSD analysis too simplistic. Ark's valuation is based on FSD as a service that's cheap enough to compete with public transport and car ownership because there's no driver to pay.

Love your way of explaining Paul, few things to note though : 1. FSD is currently $99 as its in beta/supervised mode. Once the car is driving itself then very sure its atleast going to be double that amount. 2. Once you have full FSD then you need to factor in their robotaxi business where they should eat up uber as they dont have to pay any drivers and can lower the cost of fare to half and still make double revenue per ride compared to uber. 3. Optimus, according to musk himself that part of the business will be bigger than the car business( I agree its far in future but knowing elons history, you would think he can do it) 4. Energy division grew 130% Q over Q. I agree right now its a car business but and its a big but, if FSD is eventually solved then it will have different revenue streams not just the $99/month. Plus same tech will be used on optimus ie optimus will learn by just looking at you doing something. This is exactly how FSD is running right now. There is no coding and it learns by watching videos.

This goes so much further than consumer subscription fees for FSD. Imagine plugging the seismic level of success of Uber and plugging that into Tesla. Self driving taxis. Now imagine that city governments want to integrate fsd taxis into their cities, that gives you govt contracts out the ass. Now add to that generalized robotics for manufacturing. You want to know why this stock is going up, because everyone is dumb as hell. All anyone knows is that AI is happening, but they don't really know what it is. So the money flowed into chips and now people are thinking, ok well what will ai ACTUALLY DO? Now they're seeing Tesla and Amazon with warehouses full of robots and finally getting it.

It's not about FSD alone. It's about robotaxi / mega pack/ FSD / Optimus robot / auto bidder. It's about the collective. Robotaxi alone will change transportation as a whole. We're investing today with a view to where the stock will be in 5/10 years from now. The reduced FSD price is a strategic move to collect a colossal amount of data. There is no competition!

I would pin a higher PE. At 31500$(35 PE) per car... assuming they can get to 15 Mio active cars in 7-8 years, which is very realistic and assuming FSD take rate is 100%, which is quite possible if it is extremely compelling(also 100$/month, though could be higher in 8 years, if the price is inflation adjusted, won't be much considering that people who buy Teslas have higher income), JUST the FSD part would have a 500 Billion market cap, excluding robotaxi, the autobusiness, supercharger network, energy storage, solar, batteries, optimus, dojo...

Assumptions are off. It’ll be more than $99/m once it reaches level 4+. A 20x multiple is low because of the high margin recurring revenue. Look at companies like Mastercard or Adobe. Extremely mature companies that routinely trade at higher multiples. FSD, cars, energy all need to be factored into models. I’m not saying Cathie wood is right at 2700 per share but you can get to a few trillion in market cap depending on your model.

Tesla can easily make those numbers if the Robo taxi is successful. Elon has also come out and said that they focusing more on robotics and other company initiatives besides just cars. Tesla is no longer just a car company. You’re only looking at one aspect of the business. This stock is a buy, and it will be at $340 share within two months.

I think these aspects are what would boost the stock are: 1) FSD that would be incorporated by other manufacturers 2) Robotaxi business 3) Robot business Just FSD in Teslas and the revenue for its cars could never justify that valuation. Lets see.. it is a bet of 20x if robotaxis and robots succeed or a 50% decrease it not

those things have a potential but are not granted, they are not making much money right now and the next couple years and it is questionable if those things will make profit ever - they may for sure but there is a lot of uncertainty. So the value is based on some potential future profits that may not happen and there are sign it will take longer and margin will be slimmer than expected but people are still crazy about this stock and pay huge premium - it is a risky investment it may turn into nice profit but it is quite probable that it will be big disappointment. to me it looks like meme stock

If Tesla solves fsd though, it’s more than just cars. It’s also robots. It’s also taxi’s. It’s also other automakers using that fsd tech and licensing it…. It’s a lot. Not to mention solar. And all the other businesses I’m SURE they will get into. Elon mentioned on vehicle intervening even when parked. That is insane in the applications, and it’s really not that far fetched.

This profit on FSD is wrong. They are spending 10B on Capex for AI infrastructure this year alone which is mostly FSD. You have to reduce the revenue from FSD by the depreciation

The ARK forecast is primarily based on revenue/profit from Robotaxi and NOT just FSD. You totally ignore the potential revenue of Robotaxi by 2029? Robotaxi business is different from FSD business. Why do you ignore robotaxi revenue and only use FSD revenue in your math?

@@hamboyification You will find out on 8/8. Just because we don't have a date now doesn't mean the value is $0 for robotaxi and its a false assumption that it will not happen. Just like nobody in 2018 that Tesla would sell 1.8M cars by 2023.
