I've been testing some innr bulbs, to replace my ikea bulbs that have really bad coil whine, and so far they are really nice. At $40 I had to get another pair, thanks for the heads up.

It's not black friday stuff, but IKEA has some seriously cheap Zigbee Trådfri bulbs now. In my local store, we're talking 6, 7, 8 euros each. With CRI90 so not trash light either. Would be better than most options at Amazon and the like, even vs discounts.

IKEA seem to be phasing out Tradfri, so grab them while you can! My local has already binned the Tradfri switch. I believe its to move away from single use CRXX batteries, and towards rechargeable AAA/AA.

I'll really look forward to a similar focus next year (please?), when i should have HomeAssistant fully setup. Its always been my preference, but not always an option. My robot cleaner has been EoL'd so your vacuum cleaner reference to Valetudo will be of further interest for purchasing decisions! Very interesting, as always, thanks!

Thanks for the list. The "Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 Zigbee" only seem to be available in the UK. I can't find them on Amazon Canada... but some Chinese sellers have them on eBay, so I'll roll the dice there :p

For the thermostat, there is also Ecobee that is locally control with the HomeKit integration.

Thanks! I am really tempted by the Everything Presence One, but I really want a POE version. I don't want to have to deal with batteries or running electrical. POE is so simple for the homeowner to run since you don't have to hire an electrician or worry about code.

You can use a POE splitter at the device end which you can find for about 5-10 dollars

How about ceiling mount EP, with 220v ac or poe power? Looks cleaner and, most probably, provide better performance for the PIR and mmwave sensors. Maybe a video comparing wall mount and ceiling mount could be useful.

Hi. Thanks for sharing this list. I’m not seeing much in the way of smart white goods that play nice with home assistant. My focus is a dehumidifier. If you are able to give this topic some air time at some point I would hope it might promote the topic. Thanks again for this material.

It is sadly not on sale for Black Friday, as far as I could find, but they are completely locally controller with Zigbee, the Danfoss Ally TRV's.

Hi Lewis, doesn't this Aqara Door and Window Sensor T1, look like a much better option than the original sensor for only an extra £2.50 it has OTA updates and matter.. I've only seen it available direct from the aqara site... I've ordered some instead of the original, hope I'm not missing something? Great videos. 👍

aqara doorbell range isdifferent for the chime compared with the video, chime distance is sub 10 metres, go for the reolilnk, mine is 15 metea from the house and has wroked faultlessy for over 6 months, the aqara couldnt do it.

Anyone know of a dimmable zigbee smart switch/relay that works with regular bulbs? I think Aqara has a new H1 dimmer but it seems it only works with Aqara lights

The SwitchBot vacuums look interesting. It's sad that it seems they can't work cloud-free like the rest of the SwitchBot products. The Matic vacuum is coming, fully offline, hopefully it serves.

There aren't that many good options unfortunately that I've come across, Aqara wireless mini switch perhaps or the IKEA ZigBee remote?

Hey Lewis! I've been following the channel for a while and wondering what are our options when it comes to intergrating smart water meter? I am with Leeps Utilities right now and they fitted a Sensus 640c and is it something that can be added to HA too?

Doesn't come with a case no, I will make the case available for free on printables. None of the product page images have a case so what made you think that out of interest?

@@EverythingSmartHome 10mm is the most common width I've seen thus far. Very close but those wouldn't fit. The aluminium extrusion is really narrow and quite fiddly.

Despite what Amazon would have you believe, postage unfortunately costs money, and is not cheap 😅 but if you combine multiple items postage remains the same

If only the EP Lite was in stock -.- Its got better person tracking than the older EP1 and acts as a bluetooth proxy (for under half the price of the EP1).

You can quite easily add Bluetooth proxy to the EP1 with a custom config :) there is also much more to presence than just zones

Once I can get rid of the tax issues for international shipping I will definitely get an EP1. Unfortunately the tax handling fee is >£20 in Denmark 😱

That sucks. Around here, there's no tax fee, but there is of course a VAT payment if you order from the UK. But any UK seller would of course sell without the UK VAT, in that case, so it would only add a few percentage points (UK VAT is 20% I think, here it's a little higher).

@@KimmoJaskariso if I order the Everything Presence One and ship it to Germany, I shouldn't be paying ILY taxes? As far as I can see I do. I just bought to including the case and the total price without shipping is 109,20 GBP including 18,20 GBP taxes. According to Google, that's 125,32€. When I change the shipping country to Germany, it changes to 129,80€. A slightly worse conversion rate, but it seems that it includes UK taxes.

@@EverythingSmartHomeNo worries, thought I would point it out. As an aside, perhaps PCBway could sponsor a video on "Getting Started For PCB Newbis/Idiots"? Because I keep looking at their pages and think that it might be a simple way to make multiple identical boards rather than messing with prototyping boards and wires, and then stop because I am sure I have no idea what I am doing. I was thinking of making up a standard board to put a D1 Mini on with connections to power etc for WLED lights and if I read it right I could add connections for PIRs etc fairly easily on them. But then again I could be reading things totally wrong and the $5 100mm board would not do it.

Does someone know if there are any LED Controllers on the market? I'd like something like Gledopto, but I read some mixed reviews over it's capabilities and not following industry standards completely. Not too pricy, but also it must be stable.

QuinLED DigUno. It comes preinstalled with WLED, which is open source and very fully featured
