I mean, all their 30 series cards' 3rd 8pin pulled less power than the the two 8pins, so they never hit their TDP and sucked at OCing; junk IMO. If NVIDIA made them do this, I have no idea why. I wasn't sad at all when EVGA died.

As all the voltages are present (especially the core and memory), that means the core is fried. Which also means the owner has a very slow short-circuit-response PSU. It goes to show why it is necessary to get a good PSU. I had a similar issue where one of my drmos was fired during a gaming session. But Alhumdulillah, thanks to my PSU's fast SC protection, the 12V could never reach the core, and I was able to save the GPU just by replacing the drmos.

A good way to identify which driver mosfet is shorted is to use an esr meter across the coil. The esr meter will read the esr of the coil on the good mosfets. The esr meter will read low resistance on the shorted mosfet.

Yea that power stage died and probably took the GPU core and memory along with it. Another reason not to push cards too hard, keep the power delivery system running in a more comfortable range for durability. If you want to overclock like crazy you really need to buy the very high end boards that go out of their way and use overkill power stages (like those on the Strix) which are much more able to handle the high power requirements when overclocking, and they don't run as hot.

I'm a little curious why these expensive video cards are used. This one costs 3X the price of a PS5. Other video cards cost more than this one. There must be an attraction to PC gaming over game consoles that I am not aware of and I'm hoping someone can give me some idea what that is.
@lemagreengreen

Higher resolutions, better graphics features, higher frame rates. Basically the top end of gaming, PS5 is fine and all but it doesn't come close to what a high end current gen PC gaming card can do. It has always been an expensive way to play games. Some people will also use cards like this for work, 24GB cards like are quite capable as workstation cards... but obviously not this one which is just for running the latest and greatest games well.
