If you ever wondered, THIS is how it feels to be able to play ANYTHING you want...like ANYTHING.. MAB doesn't only have high technical ability....He has ALL the ability anyone would ever want on the instrument. Literally, all of it. So he can do exactly what he wants with it. No more, no less. "No boundaries" makes absolute sense here.

Not only that..but he is a genuine great guy...you can tell how much passion he has when he is in a group setting teaching...everything he says is poetry to a guitarist. Check out the classical guitar composition he posted not too long ago...its mind boggling. This guy plays fast but he has total command of the instrument... beast is an understatement...keep it up MAB !!

@Mister E. Hendrix has inspired far more guitarists than Johnson, regardless of "who's better". Hendrix innovated and his rhythm playing is absolutely killer. Johnson is a great guitarist and should be revered, but play the general public a Hendrix song vs a Johnson song, and most people who prefer Hendrix. He just has this feel and groove that few can compete with. That being said, this is all opinion.

Bear in mind Jimi changed the game in the early rock days plus wrote some pretty flipping outstanding tunes...plus he was a black man and dropped when the white boys were populising the blues to white audiences...a lot different to the shred legends of the 80's even those as mad as MAB :)

@@wwattanapanich271 Guitar God really? He’s incredible and amazing, up there with a 100 other great players. Why do we need the hero worship? What’s he’s playing is not that difficult. It’s all about practicing and execution. Why subject everyone and MAB to that indoctrination? Remember that forced indoctrination renders cognitive ability inoperative whenever their god delusion is challenged. You will get nowhere. If theists were influenced by fact,
evidence, reason, logic and reality,
there would be no theists.

I'm not easily impressed by much these days. I've been playing since I was a little kid. I gotta say, "I'm extremely impressed" ... and I'm not a rockstar by any means, but I've been teaching and studying everything 'string' my whole life, including violin. This is such a great, creative rendition. It inspired me bigtime. I love the alternating hand over neck stuff. It's a great visual, and I thought I had done everything I could possibly think of as far as guitar was concerned. Great tone too, precision, speed... and we are probably the same age. You have a new fan my brother. BOOM! ON POINT!

We all know Michael can play but his arrangements are absolutely brilliant. Michael has been doing this for several hundred years now, listen to the Freight Train track he did with Nitro. The mix is soso but the guitar playing is pure genius. If ever a record needed to be remixed, it is O.F.R.

I don't care for his playing, but I'll admit he did bring shredding to the masses. Everybody knows what a guitar shredder is regardless of what they listen to and they all know the name Eddie Van Halen. My thing is just that he always played the exact same way with the exact same upbeat, pop phrasing. He and Randy Rhoads were the first true shredders and both developed tapping at the same time completely on their own. Eddie did it with his middle finger and randy more rapidly with the edge of his pick. Randy was better and his playing over a few years showed more musical ability and equal if not better technical ability. He never got to live a full life having died at 22 years old. If he would have lived he would have developed and grown constantly as a guitarist. Never playing the same thing twice. Eddie Van Halen stopped developing the second they blew up and has just played the same shit for 40 years. Still does. He has been addicted to drugs at times where he couldn't pick up a guitar and play a single lick. He and randy are like a model and an athlete. They both look like the pinnacle of performance, but only one actually is
