They always give you numbers for legal aid or legal aid never ever ever return my call not even give me the decency of calling and leaving a voicemail or text message on my phone and I make sure I call them way ahead of time. It's a real pity because what my landlord is doing after I've given him money in advance of the rent is sheer evilness and I don't have a lawyer to help me

Court's are rigged in favor of the one with the most money in this case the landlord

Any number of situations can result in an eviction going through without prejudice. If you had a tenant that owed you 2 years worth of rent, and was able to somehow file a judgment against you, and use that judgment money that you didn't pay them, as their rent money. Let's say they use it all up and empty a cash register. Now they start accruing new debt. Let's say they haven't allowed the landlord into the property for 20 months, they have a dog that is not allowed, other renting adults that are not allowed, nobody's paying rent at all, that tenant keeps finding code violations that they caused themselves, and you suspect them of dealing drugs out of the apartment day and night and have video proof of them tampering in the other tenants mailboxes. Do you just let them take rent from you indefinitely cuz what? They're cute? At what point in time is a judge supposed to find for your landlord when you're pulling shit like that? I have this tenant that is using the police department to file vexatious litigation against the landlord and his family, to hold stuff up. When it comes down and she runs out of this judgment that the landlord was supposed to pay her, instead of paying her, she used it for her rent payments for the last 2 years. It's time to go!!!

If you're a Tennant, please just find a place to move out, it's not nice to have people who don't care about paying on time or not paying at all for 2,3+ months plus instead of trying to solve the problem paying the behind rent, they ask for more free rent...NO, that's no right.

@@joemontana6119 Well, that is my case, I have 1 Tennant that have not paid since December 2019, we started the eviction process on January 2020, the covid-19 made a mess and stopped evictions, she is there since then and CERO payment, that have been postponing the court date since March 2020, now they have postponed the court date to January 2022.

Yeah because if somebody behind on rent they definitely have money to move out.

House I was renting got foreclosed. Then the commissioner of the court showed up at my house says he had possession of the house and wanted me to pay her. Covid it happened and no evection’s so I just been living in the house not paying rent. Can the court system sue me for all the rent -get the money from my bank account

No Just hold all of your rent money. No matter what happens. Just have it in your hand. When you don't have it in your hand, you have nothing to work with.. You can ask for extensions, you can ask the new owner for assistance moving to another unit, you can ask the court to require the state to find you a place to live. As long as you have that money, and you can pay it, they cannot do anything to you, for quite some time.

It may be too late now, but as I understood, no evictions due to covid, that meant rents due could be delayed if the person was out of work because of covid. Those that still had their jobs still owed in full, on time. Those that didn't got their rent delayed- but not excused. The supplemental payments many got from Fed and state governments was intended to help with that, but I suspect few put that money aside to pay when rent was due. The landlord that didn't get paid still had to pay property taxes, insurance, and on time if there was a mortgage even though money wasn't coming in.
