Zangetsu is OP. We have Zaraki as Guest Star for being second OP.
That is the simplest way to put this. Once he has Bankai, his first pretty much wrecks enemies. I would say his second is good for battle starters before you add a Getsuga to the mix. Pretty much pawn the show once he has the Slam and Black Moon Slash.
Recommended items:
Items that give healing effects from attacks (Uruhara's, Life Stealer, etc). As he is a strength hero, I recommend Satanic (start with Life Stealer). For health items, Maximillian is recommended. Common build to help would be the Skull Shield and Threads, one for additional immunity, and another for speed boost cause Shikai Zangetsu is SOOOOO SLOW! Lastly, grab the infamous Ultima Sword build (I recommend Excalibur last).
