IIRC, they did try to remove it in other ways that this edit doesn't show because it wanted to focus on evil Roll. Just not the 'put in a new chip because you can only equip one at a time so it will spit that one out' way that worked. Also, technically this is from two different episodes edited together.

As soon as they saw the transformation, the characters tried to remove the chip, until the character with the glasses arrives, who is the close be a navi expert (the virtual characters) who tells them to insert another, the chips never get stuck except this time, it's normal that they didn't know what to do
