I honestly hope more linear, story driven games get released. Not everything has to be open world or have a billion side quests. A game that gets straight to point is welcome.

Been playing this for a few days and it is nice to have a straight linear action game. Miss those kind of games on the PS3 and 360.

I have just finished the whole game. I gotta say, developers need to make more games like this. Not all openworld or real time physics works for everygame. Such a classic vibe the game has given me. Felt like I am back with darksiders and even better

Picked this up, loving it! Just a good old fashioned, fun 3rd person action shooter. For some reason, this got no hype. Random shit games like The Gunk got tons of hype though. Weird. Anyway, We need more games like this and less "service games" and boring open worlds with all typical "tick the box" design. Keep em coming. Wanted Dead, Stellar Blade, GunGrave, and other upcoming titles have me excited!

This game's a 9 to me. It's a throwback game. I'm playing on Series X and had no crashes, glitches, or stutters. It's damn near the perfect action game. The graphics are crisp, and it controls great. I have no complaints, and I want a sequel.

Finally a linear game I was getting sick of every game trying to be open world...

I am buying this game. Single player games that are more linear, not open world are few and far between. There could be alot of potential in this going forward. If you look at the first Gears Vs how it is now as example.

I've been intrigued by this game since I saw a trailer for the first time earlier this year. As much as I'm enjoying P5R and AC: Origins on game pass, this will be a nice diversion to turn my brain off and have fun again!

It's obvious that they took clear inspiration from God of War 2018 and it has a lot of faults in it's gameplay and technical aspects but I can't help but praise it. It's so refreshing to see a game of this calibre. A linear nuts to butts third person action game. These used to be a dime a dozen back in the PS2 and PS3 era but they appeared to have faded away so it's nice to see this genre come back. Wait for it to come on sale but it's very gamey in the best possible way.

Linear games are something I miss and this game was a breath of fresh air, story could use some work tho.

A horde mode and a tacked on pvp mode would have been awesome. If the story was more engaging and the level design was better, this would have been game of the year FOR ME.

Yeah I have Necrophobia which is the fear of dead or evil things so I turned it on and stared at black screen for ten hours. Great game so glad they included me into the experience. This was a joke you buy a horror sci fi game to get grossed out or scared?? What a weak society we have now no one forcing you to buy and play game.

Evil difficulty makes this game worth. If you want a game like say, Red dead, God of War, with story and exploration and a big world where you can just go and enjoy and explore, this is not for you. Only thing that's driving me is the challenge and the combat.

The problem with games like this, is not the games themselves but the gaming industry in general. Like, it's hard to get games like this that are actually polished and even close to AAA because the industry and most mainstream reviewers have lead us to believe that games like this cannot exist anymore. I agree that games like this that scratch the Xbox 360/PS3 era itch are fun and necessary but not worth modern full retail price. For what it is though, it is a good game. Also, I saw yet another Elden Ring is/isn't a GOTY game debate in the comments and wanted to chime in. Elden Ring deserves a lot of credit for what it didfor Souls-Like games. The replayability and open world specifically. On the other hand, the characters and the actual environments in the open world are bland and lack any ype of "WOW" factor. The grass is just grass and old structures just look like old structures. The characters and enemies are nothing new or unique. Also, for some of the enemies being as big as they are, they missed the mark by not making them climbable like Dragons Dogma.

I thought the game somewhat was identical to what a 3rd person doom would look like. Minus the setting .

Wish it was 120 fps on console. Motion in 60 fps is irritating. Story didn’t matter to me at all. Picking my next move in a fight was overwhelming sometimes because I’d forget what combinations of buttons did what. It’s kind good. 7/10

Got this game and do not regret it. Having seen all of his moves and perks, I can confidently say Jesse Rentier is going to be a DLC character in a future MK game 😂

i hate open world games so probably picking this up

Playing this game on hard was a chore and a half and after awhile, I hated it. The field of view is terrible (and everything is so dark) that most times, you just get killed by something offscreen you never saw. The weak points are a good idea, but you're so busy dodging around things or trying to focus some damage on something (while dodging around things), it's almost not worth trying. The game throws the same minibosses at you over and over, and it barely feels any easier each time despite you supposedly getting more powerful. The game has a weird leveling system tied to a skill tree but as far as I can tell the game controls how many enemies you fight so controls when you "level up" so why is it even there? Alongside an upgrades for money tree but it always seemed to be that you earned/found about enough for 1 upgrade every level so basically it's a parallel skill tree for when you level. On hard, you die after about 3-4 hits (less if we're talking boss hits) and there's very little health available so every combat becomes a chore. I eventually gave up about 3/4 of the way through at one particular boss fight because I was unable to juggle the 12 different things going on.

£41.99 in UK so like £50 dollars

With current cost of, everything, at this point for me to buy a FULL price game, it has to have 💯 game changing replayabiltiy, or a min of 1 hour of content for 1 dollar spent. Life cost to much to buy games anymore. It has to really be worth it for me. This sadly don't even come close...
