Same here, I’m not sure I’m a true Christian… all I know is when I pray and sing Hymns like this I feel different in a good way. My faith is small and I’m praying for God to reveal himself to me. So far Praying has allowed me to quit addictive behaviors

@@scottwilson9621hey you should try praying the Rosary. It seems a little boring but is very rewarding. Look up the promises attached to it as well.

I just heard an awful Hillsong song (“This Is How We Overcome”), and I had to play this beautiful hymn to get the horrible taste out of my mouth. I’m so glad to be converting to Orthodoxy!

This is one of my favorites that we sing in the little antiochian church I go to. It has such a cool ancient world sound to it that gives the liturgy a levantine spice.

Perhaps for you, but for me an American convert I find great beauty in the English versions but I very much love Greek and Slavonic chants. However it is very helpful to have English versions so I can learn the meaning of the chant.
