EVM controversy, once again | Elon Musk saying that EVMs should be eliminated since the risk of them being hacked by humans or AI is small but still 'too high' has rekindled the controversy over EVMs just days after India's general elections. While Musk's comment was with regard to voting irregularities during elections in Puerto Rica, former minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar says that a sweeping generalization that all EVMs are hackable is incorrect, since Indian EVMs are different from western ones. But meanwhile, within India, another political row over EVMs is snowballing, after allegations of 'unlocking' of an EVM in the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha seat. Here's the whole lowdown

EVM cannot be hacked, agree. What about VVPAT..they have a memory, n can be programmed n they do get outside access during symbol loading when a guy with a laptop comes n loads

The part which counts the votes are programmed to count more votes to BJP and TDP. Please verify the EVMS used in this election by conducting a mock poll in one of the constituencies'. Not 5 votes testing.

hacking a broad term. it doesn't only refers to digitally hacking a device but also refers to any tampering tof any kind. EVMs cannot be programmed becoz they are not digital computers but their circuitry can reverse engineered if tEIC wants.

First You must understand what Elan musk says. Also respect that he has built items million times complex than EVM. As Indian we lost trust in ECI. There is mismatch of vote polled and counted, explain this. If you are so confident count VVPAT in all locations. If the results different ,sure it will be, you will understand what Elan musk means
