இவிஎம் இயந்திரங்களை ஹேக் செய்யலாம் என்ற எலான் மஸ்க் கூறியதற்கு மத்திய அமைச்சர் ராஜீவ் சந்திரசேகர் பதிலளித்துள்ளார்.

அமெரிக்காவின் போர்ட்டோ ரிக்கோவில் நடைபெற்ற முதன்மை தேர்தலில் வாக்குப்பதிவு இயந்திரங்களில் முறைகேடுகள் கண்டறியப்பட்டதாக ஊடகங்கள் தெரிவிப்பதாக சுயேட்சை வேட்பாளர் ராபர்ட் எஃப் கென்னடி கூறியிருந்தார். வாக்குப்பதிவு குறித்து பேப்பர் ஆவணங்கள் இருந்ததால் சிக்கல் சரி செய்யப்பட்டதாகவும் எக்ஸ் தளத்தில் தெரிவித்திருந்தார். இதனை மறுபதிவு செய்த எலான் மஸ்க், தேர்தலில் இ.வி.எம் இயந்திரங்களை அகற்ற வேண்டும், மனிதர்கள் அல்லது ஏஐ வாயிலாக அவை ஹேக் செய்யப்படலாம் என பதிவிட்டார். இந்தியாவில் ஏற்கனவே இவிஎம் பஞ்சாயத்து தொடரும் வேளையில் அமெரிக்காவிலும் அந்த பஞ்சாயத்து தொடங்கியிருக்கிறது. இந்த சூழலில் மஸ்கிற்கு பதில் அளித்திருக்கும் மத்திய அமைச்சர் ராஜீவ் சந்திரசேகர், ஹேக் செய்ய முடியாத இ.வி.எம்.களை உருவாக்க முடியாது என பொத்தாம் பொதுவாக சொல்வது தவறு என குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். அமெரிக்காவில் வாக்குப்பதிவு இயந்திரங்கள் இன்டர்நெட் இணைப்பை கொண்டிருக்கிறது, ஆனால் இந்தியாவில் அப்படி கிடையாது, ஹேக் செய்யவும் முடியாது என சந்திரசேகர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். இந்தியா போல் இ.வி.எம். இயந்திரங்களை கட்டமைக்க மஸ்கிற்கு பயிற்சியை வழங்குவதில் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவோம் எனவும் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
